I've had the same happen several times when using Slime. I switched to Goop a few years ago and no blocked valves since.

@vfr400 Yes, they've said as much but are going to look to see whether they have a bike with the same C100 computer. My odometer mileage jammed at 4095 and gives a ride time of 38 minutes. One each ride, additional miles and ride times are recorded but as soon as the bike/computer is switched...

Thanks. I note the link no longer works but browsing through the forum again, I have spotted that mine is not the only one to stall at this mileage. I have now found the original manual at Oxygen but it doesn't outline how to do a hard reset.

I also have an Oxygen e-Mate and agree it has the smoothest ride. Mine has covered +6k miles. I can't be precise because the computer jammed recording 4095 miles/38 mins cycling time and I have no instructions for re-setting it! (D you have a manual...?). It has just had its first new chain...

I use on of these which straps on using a silicone strap. The case is screwed onto the strap but it can be fitted sideways to allow the battery to be lifted on/off. My bike doesn't have accessory screws. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B08SGY9PM8

I have the Basis Finch which is the cousin of the Osprey. Are all your electrical connections secure including the connection to the rear wheel? As a first step, I would check these to see if it solves the issue. If not, eBikes Direct will probably be able to suggest the cause of the fault...

I've done this. I normally contact the campsite in advance to say I'll be arriving by eBike and will need to recharge the battery. Normally I hand it in on arrival and ask for them to sign my receipt (name on battery too to ensure it isn't given to the wrong camper) and they charge it...

Sadly many don't cover eBikes. I always check the policy smallprint on the bike section to ensure it states eBikes are covered.

Normal daily gear depending on the weather, with either a high-vis waterproof jacket or gilet over the top.

@WheezyRider That's an idea! We hadn't thought of swapping battery bases around. This could be a possibility for the future. At the moment, we don't want to 'mess' further esp as bike electrics are new territory. Also, both the bike and battery are new, delivered just 2 weeks ago, and both...

We removed the screw-on battery bases but beneath them, the small rectangular slot through which the prong connection fits, is far too narrow. The 4-prong unit is about half the thickness of the 2-prong fitting so doesn't fit through the framing on the actual bike. The job was going well...

Just to update this thread... The plan was to swap over the prongs at the weekend and replace the fitted 4 prongs with the 2-prong supplied with the new replacement 15Ah battery. Alas, the slot on the bike is too small for the 2-prong fitting. We'll look for a slimmer version if there is one...

This is going to be our job for the weekend. We're completely new to eBike electrics and if grinding ribs help a battery fit, then that's what we'll do. It would be great to have batteries interchangeable between 3 eBikes.
