Woosh I Need a Battery for my Woosh Big Bear

Had some contact with Jimmy today and he pointed me in the right direction, sadly he couldn't assist with my make of battery. Sounds like a Top Bloke who really knows his stuff.

    Cube 2022 e-bikes

Just keeping an eye on things - it will need to be pretty good to get me away from my Infinity. :)

    Cube 2022 e-bikes

Our "local" dealer (50 miles away) has Cube bikes ready for sale. 350 ordered a while back and they are coming in steadily. Called a few days ago and he had just let one go that morning and another in stock which will be built whenever it is sold. They are 2021 model Touring 500 at a decent...

    Moving Off at Traffic Lights

My Volt Infinity (and possibly all other hub geared ebikes) automatically selects 2nd when I am stationary so a straightforward progress from lights etc.

    Rear wheel lock.

As per my original post, I offered to cycle home and collect my (mains powered) angle grinder with cutting disc and drive back but the station said they would not be allowed to let me use their power sockets and work on their premises. Understandable. The more I think about his situation, and...

    Rear wheel lock.

Indeed. However when the lock is activated only then can the key be removed. If the lock isn't activated the key is unable to be removed which is apparently what happened in this case and part of the design. The bike was unlocked in a train carriage but out of his sight which invited a scum to...

    Rear wheel lock.

I am pretty sure SJPT that the bike stranded on the train was a Raleigh Centros. IMO the key not being in unless it is to be locked has to be a safer plan.

    Rear wheel lock.

For general information. Regarding rear wheel locks. Came across a rider whose Raleigh had been “locked” while it was (unattended and “safe”) on a train. Somebody turned the key and locked the rear wheel and removed the key. Rider stranded and having to carry a heavy bike off the train and...

Recommendations for 6ft 5 rider - woosh or Wisper or something else?

They certainly are but a shame they have no selection of agents. We have a Raleigh agent a few miles away and that is one of the reasons we bought a new Centros step through for my wife. A strong capable bike which should do her well especially with a support dealer close by. Said goodbye to...

    Tyre comparison.

My wife is about to change her bike (new delivery arrived!) so when looking at the tyres all she saw was Mitas but when I see it I will look for the tyre type.

    Tyre comparison.

Opinions / experience please on Mitas v Schwalbe Marathon Plus tyres for general leisure use. Decent tow paths and cycle lanes. No off road. Puncture resistance uppermost for pensioners with limited walking ability. Thanks.

Enlighten me where I "told people what to wear". My comment was why do so many wear black?

I started this over a query about black outfits v HiViz. Where / why did it all go wrong?

No apologies necessary. My initial thoughts were based on the amount of “Johnny Cash” guys I see on bicycles when Hi-Viz is readily available. There have been many opinions and I respect folk for that, however we shall still be wearing yellow vests or jackets depending on the season. As for...

Sorry I started this thread with a simple question about riders in black which from my experience I felt was unwise in todays climate. I really didn't want it to turn into a war of words. :(

Stay safe young man. C19 stab applied today so I'm hot to trot. Next woman to take me on will light up like a pinball machine and pay off in silver dollars. With acknowledgement to R.P. McMurphy.

Problem? No real problem, with a seating position six feet from the ground and a screen the size of a patio door quite a lot more can be seen in advance than from a car or van. Training considerably more intensive than a car test, at least back then it was. Awareness that causing a bump up...

As I have only been cycling since my paper delivery rounds in 1959 perhaps some of you folk out there can enlighten me as to why there are an increasing amount of cyclists, both professional and leisure wearing black! I am mindful of my 30 Class One professional years and the ability to see over...
