    Bosch CX pedal resistance

I can’t say I really notice it when riding, I was just amazed how much resistance I felt on the stand. However I don’t think I had the system powered up. I’ll give it a try with the power on with zero assist when I get home at the weekend.

    Mystery objects

I don’t think they’d snap at the indents as they have reinforcing ribs on the back. They also have a radius which wouldn’t make them a good wedge. Thanks though.

Indeed they are, finely tapered to the narrower end.

    Using less battery power

Hello, I've been riding now since April this year, I'm 57 and was very unfit. My Ebike really got me motivated to ride and I love it. The more I've ridden the less assist I'm using. I've now got to a stage where I've bought an un-assited mountain bike. I'm guessing this is a common trend...

Things you might need when the going gets tough.

Hi, Had a very similar experience myself, got to the first mile of my 7 mile trip to work and got a puncture in the woods. Two more punctures in the same week which was making life difficult hence my change of tyres and adding sealant.

Things you might need when the going gets tough.

I'm a novice cyclist, but an experienced engineer. When suffering from regular punctures I always managed to deal with them. However, when dealing with a puncture I always ended up with my hands in a greasy mess. Even worse when dealing with a snapped chain. Always have a couple of pairs of...

    Mystery objects

Guy's and gals, I just found these two articles on the garage floor (the sharpies for scale) where I've been fitting some parts to my new bike. They're a pair I'd guess. They're very well made, out of high grade plastic. I don't have a clue what they are. I've been fitting the following parts...

    Suntour forks creaking

Great to get lots of opinions, I won’t be WD40ing my discs anytime soon. How much are reasonable forks and how do you size them? Are all the nut boses universal for brake callipers and disc alignment? Are front forks different for different wheel sizes? My wheels are 29” if that’s a help.

    Bosch CX pedal resistance

Thank you for the reply, I guessed as much but my lack of experiemce didnt give me the answer. Still loving my bike, the assistance is going down and the miles are going up. :)

    Suntour forks creaking

My front forks creak a lot when Im braking or just coming to a stop. My Cube Cross Pro Hybrid Ebike has only done 700 miles, I think it's done this from new, is it normal?

    Bosch CX pedal resistance

Hello, I just got a bike stand today to do some routine maintenance. I was amazed how much power it took me to drive the pedals round by hand with the motor switched off. I have ridden it switched off and it feels like hard work. Is this normal? Thanks in advance

Hi John, I just sprayed the threads with white silicone grease before assembly.

    Pedal problems

Update, new pedals easily installed when you realise how its done. Thanks everyone for advice etc. I know now where I was going wrong and feel a bit of a fool. Both came undone easily, all I did is put my foot on the pedal that would give me forward movement and pull in the opposite direction...

    Pedal problems

Thanks Ben, they sound better than what I've been given. I bought the correct pedal spanner but can't remove the originals and I don't want to use brute force. I think I'll have to go round to my son's as he's a better mechanic than me.

    Pedal problems

A few weeks after getting my ebike I ended up with phlebitis. If you haven't heard of that its when you bust a vein. In simple terms, phlebitis is when a blood clot blocks a vein close to the surface of your skin. Phlebitis causes pain and inflammation but is not as risky as deep vein...
