    Brake disc wear

From Shimano website https://bike.shimano.com/en-US/information/news/tune-up-guide---mtb--disc-brakes.html Braking erodes material off the rotor depending on the riding conditions, rotors will typically last through two or more sets of brake pads. When a SHIMANO rotor measures 1.5mm thick or...

What makes a good bike to convert?

Women generally have long legs and short bodies, men the opposite. Women's bikes have a shorter top tube to cater for this.

What makes a good bike to convert?

I find the following important. 1. Fit. I ride a women's version in of a hybrid, the reason for this is the shorter top tube (I have long legs, short upper body). 2. Mudguard and rack mounts 3. BSA bottom bracket I had to use a wolf tooth flat plate to get my downtube battery to fit, my bottle...

    Trailer hitch for e-bikes

I have sold some of the brackets on eBay, there is hardly any profit in it. One change I would make is to make the axle end hole a tighter fit, it is slightly loose due to my miscalculations. Some people have said that they prefer this as it gives them a bit of leeway when fitting the bracket...

    Trailer hitch for e-bikes

I got a couple hitch brackets made to fit on an ebike axle, you attach the standard to the below using a nut and bolt. I also made one where the axle hole is straight but I can't find the photo

Is there a bike that meets my requirements?

I have both a rear hub and mid drive (BBS02), I find the hub motor nicer to ride and good for carrying small loads. If I am going to the scrap yard or carrying a lot of shopping I prefer the mid drive as the weight is more balanced and eventually disrupted on the bike. I would recommend the...

    27.5 bad for road use?

Bike companies are very good at promoting gimmicks and not very good at quality checks(non round bottom brackets, voids in carbon frames) watch Hambini and Peak Torque on YouTube. I would buy a Woosh Faro as good customer service, support this platform and parts readily available for their bikes.

    27.5 bad for road use?

I ride a 26" MTB with a front suspension fork and a 700c hybrid with a suspension stem. Both are used on cycle tracks and the road, if not doing a lot of mountain biking I would go for the 700c.

Need help deciding on spec of electric bike

I ride both a rear hub motor and a BBS02, both of these bikes are used to carry shopping and scrap metal. The BBS02 ,is a great kit but I find it needs some tweaking to work to my needs. It's the marmite of the kit world, you either love it or hate it I find the rear hub kit is a nicer cycling...

Partial settlement in Rad Power fatal e-bike crash case

The lawsuit says the front wheel was wobbling during a fast descent - and it specifically alleges that using disc brakes in conjunction with quick-release skewers means the skewers can loosen during hard braking and cause the wheel to wobble and shake. Why didn't the parents check the bike was...
