    Help with new controller.

Telling us that the battery is brand new is good, but you do need to also state its capacity. Usually in Amp Hours of AH. Also the current (pun intended!) level of amps that the controller is set up to draw, may simply be too much for the battery to supply. For example, if its a small "sized"...

    Help with new controller.

Is the max current "settable" on this controller? If so, it is maybe set too high and the battery simply cannot supply the demand as it is too small, too old, or simply partially defective.... Just a thought. Andy

    Wheel security?

I bought a cheapo from ebay, that is still working , and a I aslo found a source of prgrammable remote controls also on ebay, that allowed me to then have two remotes. The reason being, I like having two sets of bike keys, plus a front door key, with both being complete, but I only take one set...

    Wheel security?

I myself use two quality "Chain type" Bike locks, one through the front wheel and frame, and one through the rear wheel and frame. Plus a vibration sensitive alarm, I have one that looks like a rear light and is under the saddle. It is switched on and off via pocket remote. A second one up front...

    Haibike car rack help

There are a few options, but may I suggest not on the roof, as a) it increases the fuel consumption b) and I found them too heavy to heave up and down. So you have either the rear door, the tow hitch (if you have one) or popping a wheel off and using the boot or the inside of the car. I actually...

Kalkhoff Pro Connect help for batery

Never go by colours, especially anything manufactured in China. Always use a meter to identify the polarity, and mark it in some easily understood manner. I assume, maybe wrongly, that you are replacing a defective battery, with a new one of the same nominal voltage. If not, then you might be...

    Help! Battery Recharge Intervals

Good post. Do you happen to know which cells are installed in the battery? I am unsure as to whether Yamaha make their own cells, or buy in... My batteries, 3 for my current bike (one on loan to use and keep active with), and the one for my previous bike were/are all Panasonic batteries, which...

    Help! Battery Recharge Intervals

How depleted was the battery generally, when you carried out a fresh charge? How do you treat the battery when charging if I may ask, as that IMHO is the most important part. I myself have a modified 24 hour timer to switch the mains off when I myself judge it to be fully charged, time wise...

    Carrera charge cable extender

If you made and posted some decent clear pictures, I could maybe answer your question better. Normally, (I am a devil with a soldering Iron ;)), I would simply make a new one, maybe a bit longer, to give you better warning the next time, with a bell on it, as a warning alarm! regards Andy

    Help! Battery Recharge Intervals

Basically yes. IMHO it does not matter how "long" or how much "capacity" is added, a charge is a charge. Whether seconds or hours. Some battery manufacturers mention this deep in their literature, but not all of them do this. Battery manufacturers appear to want to try and get the guarantee...

    Help! Battery Recharge Intervals

I can actually believe it of a Bosch, as it apparently has these "communications" between different components that someone else here wrote about, and disrupting the comms apparently can cause parts to go into a "sleep mode"... but I have no idea about the Yamaha batteries myself.... I hope...

    Help! Battery Recharge Intervals

I have never had a Yamaha Battery, and I will never ever buy anything from Bosch.....so I cannot say either way. But someone here will know I am sure. Andy

    Speedo correction

Firstly, I do not have or want a derestricted bike. After once hitting 40KMH on a hill trying to find out how fast my dog could run (faster than 40!), that was enough for me. On my first e-bike, there was no speedo, so I went and bought one for a normal bike, which I was lucky enough to be able...
