April 10, 20206 yr Hi What speedo are you using to show correct speed on your deristricted EBikes Firstly, I do not have or want a derestricted bike. After once hitting 40KMH on a hill trying to find out how fast my dog could run (faster than 40!), that was enough for me. On my first e-bike, there was no speedo, so I went and bought one for a normal bike, which I was lucky enough to be able to both test on an accurate 1 kilometer road marking (for a sports event years ago!), and adjust in the speedo firmware to be pretty exact on both speed and distance. It cost very little. Under 10 UK pounds is the memory! The adjustment was made simply by adding a variable in millimeters, of the distance covered by one exact wheel rotation.....therefore it takes into account both tyre size and pressure. Andy
April 10, 20206 yr Most rely on the speedo reading having checked it against a GPS. The fastest I have gone is about 77km/h or 48mph down hill fast enough for me.
April 10, 20206 yr I would suggest for anyone trying to break speed records to look where they are going, not at the speedometer.
April 13, 20206 yr Hi What speedo are you using to show correct speed on your deristricted EBikes I believe the Speedbox shows the correct speed but needs installing inside the motor cover. The Badass only shows correct speed up to about 10mph then halves it.
