Despite living in quite a populated area, it takes me just 1 minute of road riding before I am of road and playing. I was out again last night, and had intended cover a route of roughly 25 miles, as I had hoped to learn a section of the ride, in readiness for my organised night ride...

    KTM Lycon Macina Shimano gears

You would need to drop the motor to fit a new outer cable. I haven't ever needed to replace any cables, but have taken the motor out frequently enough. It is an easy enough job to do, but just take care not to pinch any of the wires. One of mine was pinched from new. My hanger is bolted solid...

    spd shoes

Not really I'm afraid. :( For pedals, I run a set of Shimano XT on each of the eMTB's and a set of Shimano XTR on the pedal mtb. XTR bought when on half price special offer. After receiving a refund on a pair of Shimano Goretex winter boots/shoes (same as Gubbins owns I think) that just fell...

No idea if you can buy a cleat conversion from spd, but from what I can see, not being able to adjust the release tension on those pedals would put me off buying or using them.

    China's tiny electric car

Not a kit as such. My friend had bought at auction as an in finished half scale build. Sadly the person that started the build/project had died. The plans alone for it are a work of art. Someone had put a lot of time and effort into getting it this far, and it is a shame that the never got to...

    China's tiny electric car

Funny that you should say that craiggor, I had to look at a job last Sunday, and that was fitting out this. I built the garage, fitted it out, constructed certain elements of one of the cars, and have now been asked if I could fit this half size replica out with an electric motor.

Afraid that without actually going through process my self, I can't truly answer what might be going on. I'll have a play with my own set up at the weekend. In the meantime, this clip is a very good resource of info that may well assist you. Ref the cage, it sounds as though long could be...

You can find the hanger here. http://www.flidistribution.co.uk/parts-accessories/spare-hangers Without looking at my spare hanger, I can't currently say which of the two listed, that you would require. And this is the rear mech...

    Just added mud guards...

No wonder that they are in the back of the shed. You can't get up out of the seat and tuck low behind on steep descents, and the dropper post wouldn't be worth having. Good move taking them off.

Not if you fit the mtb version of one of these. https://www.cyclerepublic.com/catalog/product/view/id/36406/s/ass-saver-brookshield-narrow-mudguard/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIy4bsnMfp1gIVQkAbCh2mOgcHEAQYBSABEgI01PD_BwE Mine lasted for two evenings before I lost patience with it, and binned it. A highly...

Do people not work in their gardens/allotments etc, or does that also imply that they get paid? And yes I do enjoy trail building, but it is still work. LP, a few mudguard shots for you. As said, I don't use them because of practical reasons, and nothing more.

The bike's body clock was totally in shock. :)

    Just added mud guards...

Utter rubbish. I had spent many hundreds of hours making those trails. The lack of a mudguard has nothing to do with my anger. That was close to one and half years of work, ruined.

Yet another evening of unexpectedly dry fun yesterday. In order to try the light out, I even made a very rare trip onto a road. I'll probably rot in hell for that! :( I also now have a bit more clearing to do. Although I haven't had much in the way of free time, I have still been...

    Just added mud guards...

Not at all. I gave up with mudguards a very long time ago, and have tried most of what is available, plus also made my own. Mudguards are fine if all that you do is commute or ride in parks or on grass. Beyond that, they become a major inconvenience and nuisance. Take the Topeak example that...

    Finally taken the eBike plunge..

No different, but linked to a CX motor, I'd take the 500wh battery over the 400wh. The CX is pretty power hungry.

    Finally taken the eBike plunge..

I'm confused. Why would you want to invalidate the warranty on the bike, by fitting a dongle, at the same time turning it from an EAPC into a motorcycle in the eyes of the law, when you intend to use eco for the most part of your journey, and have a 12% gradient hill on route, where the dongle...

Those look better suited to doing something like the Melbourne Shuffle. :D I've been using clipless for about four years now, and fell off the very first time that I used them. I pulled up to stop at a busy junction, and down I went!:D I really like them, and they are ideal for a lot of the...

Proof that I must be mad! I had to look at a job today that was approx 18miles away, so rather than head straight there, I drove approx 18 miles in the wrong direction, parked up, and then cycled a round trip of some 47.5 miles just to look at it. I figured that I might as well try enjoy what...
