    Cyclamatic controller

That looks like it, result. :) Does it charge with a kettle type lead. With the male (left) being on the battery and the female on the charger?

    Cyclamatic controller

Just a thought, the cyclamatic does the batter have a three prong female connector at the bottom (although only two are used) and take a kettle lead type charger. It looks identical to my battery and it would be good to know I can get a replacement in the uk should I need to.

    charging new lifepo4

Glad I never purchased one in the past then. :) Solder and good battery bars are better than spot welds and tin (like you said earlier) Less resistance means better performance and less heat generation when discharging.

Rear puncture on Wisper 705 SE

We just need someone how to get innertubes and tyres of a driven wheel then and we will be sorted. I will have a look later, I presume you have 2 choices. loosen the wheel and the cables and work very confined to the bike. (and hope you don't cause a lose solder to the motor) Otherwise look...

Rear puncture on Wisper 705 SE

Well my bike arrives today but I am really interested in this. If and when someone comes back with the best ways of doing it, could I make it as a suggestions for a sticky as it is going to be a problem we all face at some time ( and I would rather know now while I don't have one than when I do...

What would be on your short-list?

I think the difference is, I would happily fit a new controller, motor, battery etc to a bike. For example there are home conversion kits, they are not too technical. (and I used to run RC cars and to all extents they are a larger version of the same set up. Battery, Electric Speed controller &...

What would be on your short-list?

From my own experience (not bikes but IT) they are usually all made in the same factory, some are then customised for customers. There is no benefit to them being exclusive, also sometimes they may be exclusive to a country, but that does not stop another chinese company buying them in china...

What would be on your short-list?

Does this look familiar? On research, how many of these bikes are rebranded for the UK market? I am getting a 24V 10AH version (but I believe that it has the same electrics as well as everything else) Even has the same carbon fiber effect paint. I am aware the battery might not hold up but I...

    Can anyone identify this bike?

OK, having worried on the battery I am upping my budget to £500. Best I can find is a new Freego Hawk. I would have liked disk brakes but beggers cant be choosers? Unless anyone else has any other ideas at £500 or under?

    Can anyone identify this bike?

Unfortunatly I don't live near it to try, but it is a shop warranty. I supose I should call them tomorrow, find the age of the battery and if it is covered in the warranty.

    Can anyone identify this bike?

OK, last question? £200, would it be a good introduction with three months warranty?

    Can anyone identify this bike?

Using 7.2V RC packs, to make a bike battery.

I may look at Lifepo4 in the future then. Just try to manage the current ones well I suppose until I get to that bridge.

Using 7.2V RC packs, to make a bike battery.

Hi, I have ordered a bike which is NIMH (i know everyone has Li-ion but I am familiar with working with NIMH, and dont trust Li-ion to last that long EG could be done in 200 charges). I have ordered a spare battery but thinking way in to the future. Could I connect 5X 7.2V race packs in series...
