New user - Just set up my 1500w conversion

I guess as you say something has come adrift somewhere so a process of elimination is the best way to go, I would start with the battery connections, Watch the boys in blue though!

Glad your back on the road Yokel, ordered my part and yes its a lovely piece of engineering, arrived like you say in about 10 days unfortunately the magnetic ring was broken!! Have been in touch with them and they are sending a new one to me, problem is they are on holiday at the moment, just my...

Is it a good idea to re-torque nuts and bolts once in a while?

Checking for loose fittings every now and then then definitely yes, torquing I don't feel is needed, and thread lock is a dodgy area as there are so many different types available you could end up having to drill a bolt out if you use the wrong one!

    Tyre Liners

Anyone with any views on tyre liners to prevent punctures, I have tried the Zefal plastic ones and still got punctures. Fitted Panaracer Flataway Kevlar bands and took a real hit with a flint I guess and although it penetrated the tyre and the band I still never had a puncture so quite impressed...

Yes my picture shows the side that's visible when the shaft is removed, you have to remove the circlip to see the underside as your picture shows, but you have me a bit confused with the price as you say it will be about £10 new but you quoted me £30 for a second hand one via email today!!??

    Routing cables inside frame.

A 20 Ø hole is huge and is going to severely weaken the frame especially on an MTB if you give it a pounding off road

I see, yes its was no problem there is a dust/oil seal which is easy to remove followed by 2 locking rings which you can remove with angle nose pliers if you don't have the proper tool, they are not tight as it would put to much load on the bearings otherwise, there are supposed to be some...

If you look at the pics you will see a small circuit board with 2 Hall sensors fitted these line up with the 2 magnetic lugs on the ring set at 180 degrees which must send a signal to the controller to enable the assist

I know I used to work as an engineer in the car manufacturing world, the best I had was £39 for a 8 x 60 bolt for my Mercedes, I replied is it gold plated and he replied thats for fitting as well!!!

The shaft cost is £33 + £27.68 postage if I add a bearing set on for the shaft at £12.29 the postage goes up to £35.29 total so an increase of £7.61 postage just for a couple of bearings
