Hi
Has anyone experience this with Shwalbe tyres, according to Shwalbe they call it 'Threading' and its perfectly safe to cut it away but its wearing badly into the sidewalls after less than 12 months use so clearly not safe to use. I have always kept the tyres properly inflated as well...
Leighping, thanks you have been such a great help, have ordered the suntour one now and like you will have to shim from 27.2 to 30.9, hopefully will have it before the weekend as I enjoy cycling canal towpaths which can be a bit bumpy!
Following mid drive Bafang conversions on a standard bike I guess with the increased weight and torque that one should consider upgrading the spokes in the wheels, mine are standard 2mm spokes but I am considering uprating them, any thoughts?
I still get replies from the company I used which was Greenbikekit.com even though they are on holiday but they won't send me a replacement part for the damaged one I received until 10th then there is shipping time so probably end of Feb..... Grrrr
Much better to use heat shrink wrap than tape...
Brilliant... China is on a national holiday at the moment until 10th Feb its the Chinese new year, I'm waiting for a replacement part myself! The battery is still ok though?
Quite a jumble of wiring there and when its all squeezed into the bag then any thing is possible, this may sound odd but if there has been sparks from there have a really good look at all the connections and a good sniff as normally you can smell electrical arcing
Mine is 14.5ah 30 miles is about average but as I keep saying its more about weight of the rider and the terrain, sales hype will always give the max as in MPG with cars you will never achieve what they say.... fact!
You can keep guessing as to what it could be but the best way I believe is as I say a process of elimination so start with what you already know... sparks from the controller so replicate what happened when you saw the sparks and focus directly at that area first to find exactly where they were...
