    BH Emotion serious problems

The experiences in this thread sound terribly familiar. I've had multiple rebuilds, a replacement wheel, and absolutely no end of broken spokes, with them going at least ten times, usually three or four spokes going at once. I must say my local dealer has been excellent and very understanding...

Can anyone recommend a good bike for hill climbing and distance

I'd rather not go with a hub based bike due to problems I've had with spokes breaking and also the difficulty of changing tyres on a hub based bike (for me anyway).

Can anyone recommend a good bike for hill climbing and distance

How hilly is the ride and also, how loud and portable is the charger ?

Can anyone recommend a good bike for hill climbing and distance

The Neo is a completely different beast to the City though. It's got a large and powerful hub motor as opposed to the crank based motor in the 700. When I mean steep I mean really steep; the elevation change over the trip is around 800 feet including the notorious Constitution Hill in Bristol...

Can anyone recommend a good bike for hill climbing and distance

I can JUST do a 20 mile round trip on a Neo Cross Emotion with the original battery with I think was 8AH. My journey is extremely hilly. So the upgraded battery should just about do 24 miles. Bear in mind the charger for the battery is extremely noisy and if you are charging at work you'd...

BH emotion Neo Cross - has anyone tried one?

Hi I've had a look at one of these bikes in the shop and the build quality and design looks amazing compared to my current bike. Has anyone tried one and got real world experience? It's got a rear 350 watt motor limited to 250, hydraulic brakes front and rear, and a nifty way of blending in...

Recommendations for a new bike - 20 miles of very hilly commuting done every day

The crank drive seems the drive for me. I don't think Bristol has the concept of easy going on the flat :-)

Recommendations for a new bike - 20 miles of very hilly commuting done every day

Thanks - my local electric bike shop is handily at the bottom of the aforementioned death hill so I'd obviously road test anything up there beforehand.

Recommendations for a new bike - 20 miles of very hilly commuting done every day

PS how much better are crank drives than rear hub motors. You have to still put a reasonable amount of effort in to going up hills in my Wisper (OK a huge amount of effort for Constitution Hill), do the crank drives have more torque ?

Recommendations for a new bike - 20 miles of very hilly commuting done every day

I'm vaguely thinking of replacing my Wisper 905 with something new. My requirements are: An easy 20 mile range. By easy I mean it should manage this with no problem at all. Excellent hill climbing ability. I commute in and out of Bristol and the route has over 1000 ft of elevation...

Throttle issue with a Wisper 905SE and advice on water proofing the control box void.

Thanks a lot for that Bob. The bike is all screwed back together for my first ride back into work this year, so I'll look into things at the weekend. I don't think that the pot is present on my version of the bike - I saw a post in the forum showing a picture of that and it didn't correspond...

Throttle issue with a Wisper 905SE and advice on water proofing the control box void.

Hi I've got a Wisper 90SE which I've had for a year now and is therefore out of warranty. I've had no end of problems with this bike and over this time have had a new control box, new battery and new rear wheel fitted, plus intermittent problems with the hi-lo switch (solved by drying it...

Brake recommendation for Wisper 905se needed

Do you know what pads I should be using for a 905SE front brake ? The pads actually look like a table tennis bat, and have BP69 written on the back. There is a small hole at the end of each "handle", but these are none functional (as they stick out the brake mechanism). The pads seem to be held...

Brake recommendation for Wisper 905se needed

Out of interest if you replaced the front front with a hydraulic one, what did you do about the fact that the existing brakes cut off the motor when you pull them ?
