    Falcon Surge

I’m not sure if yours is the same as the one I’m getting ? mines a Falcon Surge folding bike. Shimano parts are normally pretty good so that’s strange. It does have a similar Shimano twist gear change to my sons bike. what sort of mileage do you do? I’m only going to be doing under 3 miles to...

    Falcon Surge

There are a few e bike mechanics here so I’m hoping that any repairs could be done locally if required in the future. Going through a big company like I have pick ups/returns are all free in the event of faulty goods. That’s another reason I went this route

    Falcon Surge

I’m only 10 stone in weight so I’m pretty light. To get to Portsmouth or Poole from Guernsey with a bike is nearly £200 when I last looked so it’s costly, I think it’s cheaper UK - Guernsey- UK. I’m pretty sure tourists here get it cheaper. But not very well off people like me can’t afford to...

    Falcon Surge

Hi everyone, I've been a member on here since 2007 but I haven't had an electric bike for quite a while!. Due to wanting to save money we've gone down to one car and living in Guernsey Channel Islands it's difficult to get bikes delivered here without very high delivery charges. . I stubbled...

    Powabyke X or Infineum?

I'm a bit out of date with recent electric bike news so forgive me if this has been asked already ! Does the Powabyke x bike have a lock on its battery as standard yet ? ( so a thief can't nick it ). I simply will not buy an E bike without a lock on its battery ! batteries are expensive...

    Older riders - hilly areas

I have recently test rode a Powabyke X6 and it climbs hills with ease. This was my number 1 priority as my route to work is all uphill ! So this bike would be an excellent choice.

Dirt Lid Style Helmets, Ok For Road Use ?

I don't like the look of standard bike helmets ( although I have one ! ), so I was thinking of getting a Dirt Lid style helmet as in the link below. SIXSIXONE Dirt Lid Helmet | £24.95 | Quality MTB Cycle Helmet | www.bikeoutlet.co.uk Are these helmets as safe as 'normal helmets' ? Does...

    E-bike expansion in Europe

In Guernsey where I am I see an electric bike nearly every day. I work in the main town in Guernsey St Peter Port so alot of people E bike to work. Yesterday I saw 2 bikes a Powacycle Salisbury and a Powacycle ladies windsor. But by far the most common bike I see is Powabyke Euro/Commuter...

    Powabyke X or Infineum?

Just a couple more questions - Am I safe to buy a bike now and be guaranteed to be able to fit on a retro fit lock later ? The dealer I tried the X bike with ( the one revolution version ) has to order the bikes in. Are all X bikes in the Powabyke warehouse now the one revolution versions ? (...

    Powabyke X or Infineum?

Thanks for the response. All in all the bike was excellent and I can cope with the half throttle but the battery issue is a sticking point for me. Going back to a one turn on the pedals was a brilliant move, I just wouldn't have been able to put up with the other one !. I don't need a bike...

    Powabyke X or Infineum?

I had 2 test rides of a Powabyke X-6 today from different dealers. The first test ride wasn't a good experience. I had to do 5 or 6 revolutions of the pedal before the motor kicked in !. Not very good if you are stopped on a steep hill !. ( and yes I tried both modes on the key turn ). So...

    Powabyke X or Infineum?

I'm comparing the two as well. I think the Infineum has a full grip throttle but i'm not sure. I would be interested to know which bike is the most powerful. Peak power wise. I think they both are 900w peak power, so they should hill climb about the same ? Oops ignore the above its the...
