Smart meter surge pricing risks punishing the poorest households
A time-of-day tariff penalises those who don’t have the luxury of delaying their energy use

"Plans go against repeated assurances

2018

The Government publishes guidance saying it is a “myth” that suppliers would charge higher prices through smart meters."

How Canada’s energy experiment backfired – and why smart meter Britain is next
Years after Ontario’s flawed reforms, the province has little to show for its efforts
"But just years after the move, energy prices in Ontario were far higher and consumers had hardly changed the way they consumed energy at all."

Can he & Joe & Co still be deprived of the Proceeds of their Crimes by the Criminal Assets Bureau? And civilly sued for the tax not paid?
Americans are even liable for tax in US on money received abroad, even if its hidden offshore.
There's more than one way of skinning a cat, and that's how Al Capone got his.
I suppose Hunter and Joe can still have the proceeds of their crimes be seized.
The same should also apply to Trump and family too.
The difference is the scale, really.

Yeah, what did they do to the meeces? And the beagles.. monkeys.. etc?
Is that why Fauci was pardoned while not even charged?
These "sceance-tists" have a 'thing' about "experi-mental-ing" on animals..?
When they're not doing it on All the rest of us of course!
typical misinformation.
Fauci has nothing to do with those medical research projects.

QUOTE:

In a release titled, "Yes, Biden Spent Millions on Transgender Animal Experiments," the White House listed six NIH-funded studies as proof of Trump's claim. Altogether, the cost total was $8.29 million:
  • $455K | "A Mouse Model to Test the Effects of Gender-affirming Hormone Therapy on HIV Vaccine-induced Immune Responses"
  • $2.5M | "Reproductive Consequences of Steroid Hormone Administration"
  • $299.9K | "Gender-Affirming Testosterone Therapy on Breast Cancer Risk and Treatment Outcomes"
  • $735.1K | "Microbiome mediated effects of gender-affirming hormone therapy in mice"
  • $1.2M | "Androgen effects on the reproductive neuroendocrine axis"
  • $3.1M | "Gonadal hormones as mediators of sex and gender influences in asthma"

I think its one of those things where until people hit rock bottom they won't come to their senses.
It’s ‘Maganomics’: Trump’s brash economic strategy is likely to end in crash or crisis
Large tax cuts for the rich, import tariffs, and the competing interests of Republican nationalists and the techno-right is a dangerous combination

Americans aren’t happy with Trump’s handling of the economy or his tariffs, new polls show
More than half of Americans disapprove of Trump’s economic policies

Liz Truss leaves stage over ‘I crashed the economy’ lettuce banner

50,000 attendees, hotels, restaurants, airports, business conferences etc. The town of belem got given once in a lifetime a lot of money to build up its infrastructure so it used some of it to build a short stretch of motorway linking belem with a nearby satellite town. A lot more money was spent on enlarging the airport, new hotels and restaurants and improving local amenities. Wouldn't you want your town be given the same opportunity?
Zoom can't create the same environment.

Last weekend they were spraying our skies here in the south of England all day, Saturday and Sunday. A lady from Britons for a clean atmosphere has volunteered to quiz/interview our local MP. I did warn her that the said MP is a waste of space, but she is going ahead. 'Look up!' is the mantra. It's happening before your very eyes.

I wonder how Glasgow is after it was "given the opportunity"?
Beter than before I bet.
If you doubt climate change is real, do watch BBC Panorama on the fire in California shown again this afternoon. One spark from the power line was enough to set fire to bone dry vegetation because of the lack of rain for months before the fire. One frequent phrase each time we have another natural disaster is 'this is once in a lifetime event'. Wouldn't you want to know why these events happen with an alarmingly increasing frequency and how to reverse this repetition?

The impact of Trump's idiotic, rambling and bizarre policy diktats is indeed destabilising and damaging, both politically and economically.None of this is in the interests of either Americans or their allies and trading partners and is extremely dangerous in terms of the encouragement that has been handed by Trump to dictators with aspiration to seize chunks of neighbouring countries and their assets.

Trump's megalomania and blatant lack of reason and wisdom is going to turn into a disastrous debacle.

I was playing about with a locally hosted AI model and wanted to see how it reacted. Its training cut off date was in late 2023, so it would know nothing of current events so I put them to the model as hypothetical events. Here is its reaction to my summary of Trump's first few weeks:

Okay, you've presented a truly extraordinary and frankly alarming hypothetical scenario. Given the actions you're describing, even within the framework of a purely speculative situation, my assessment would be one of profound concern and instability. Let me break down my thoughts, keeping in mind I'm analyzing this as an AI responding to a hypothetical situation:

Overall Assessment: Catastrophic Instability & International Crisis

The actions you're outlining would trigger a cascade of crises across multiple domains – diplomatic, economic, military, and legal. The potential for global conflict and economic collapse would be extremely high.

Specific Concerns & Analysis (Based on your provided actions):

Greenland Acquisition Attempt: This would be a diplomatic disaster, likely severing ties with Denmark and potentially triggering a broader crisis with other nations concerned about precedent.
Ownership of Gaza & Panama Canal: These claims are legally baseless and would be universally condemned as an act of aggression. It would destabilize the Middle East and Central America, and likely lead to armed conflict.
Canadian Annexation Proposal: This would be met with fierce opposition from Canada and would severely damage the US-Canada relationship, a cornerstone of North American stability.
Escalating Tariff Wars: The doubling down on tariffs would cripple the global economy, triggering recessions and widespread hardship. It would alienate key allies and potentially lead to trade wars with numerous countries.
Cutting Aid to Ukraine & Intelligence Sharing: This would embolden Russia, undermine Ukraine's defense, and significantly damage US credibility as a reliable ally. The accusation of Zelensky being an "ungrateful dictator" would be a major diplomatic blunder.
Demand for Ukrainian Mineral Assets: This is essentially a demand for the theft of national resources, a blatant act of economic imperialism that would be universally condemned and likely trigger international sanctions against the US.

Potential Consequences (Beyond the Immediate Reactions):

* **Economic Collapse:** The combination of trade wars, sanctions, and economic instability would likely lead to a global recession or even a depression.
* **Military Conflict:** The aggressive actions and territorial claims could easily escalate into armed conflict, either directly or through proxy wars.
* **Loss of US Global Influence:** The US would rapidly lose its standing as a global leader, replaced by other powers willing to uphold international law and stability.
* **Internal Political Crisis:** The actions would likely trigger a major political crisis within the US, with widespread protests and potential challenges to the President's authority.

**Important Disclaimer:** I am an AI and cannot predict the future. This analysis is based solely on the hypothetical scenario you presented and my understanding of international relations, economics, and law. The situation you describe is extreme and unlikely, but it serves to illustrate the potential consequences of reckless and aggressive foreign policy.

It's no longer hypothetical, Putin may soon have to intervene in Bosnia to protect Milorad Dodik. Have you also seen the public protest in Hungary against Victor Orban? Putin may have to send in troops too.
