Turn the battery off and just tell us if the motor turns anti c/w by hand relatively easy, all geared hubs will have slight resistance and you will hear the clutch whirring as it turns. A video I don't need to see.

Sorry PC2017 I change the text as I hadn't read the posters reply properly, but you got the gist of my original text.

  • I doubt you could email it to anyone unless the file size is under 25Mb or you are using a paid for email service, wetransfer is a large file share service I have used it on the odd occasion and it's free with no registration for either sender or receiver however it does require an email address from both parties - best bet is to post it on youtube and use the (ctrl+K) insert a link option or embed the media in your next post.

Sorry Tunznath

Edit I read your last post as pedalled backwards sound like a dodgy motor contact YOSE CS and post the video for them...

Future posters on this thread might need your help with Lishui systems not to mention the unique position you are in to have experienced both systems.

The throttle can be set to ON/OFF and also limited, but the limit is 6kph not the 15kph you are getting . The new kit is obviously under powered compared to the older KT ones why they have still got a 350w badge is anyone's guess. ps: while bike is suspended you could also check throttle unloaded max speed. You might get rid of the back pedal start by having the a different start up setting speed (0-3) or the pas sensitivity (2-63)

250/350 are the same and likely so is 500w.
For some markets more power/ current is used. Try selling a 250 motor to the yanks put 350/500 on the same motor then bobs your uncle.
Most 250w marked motors will handle about 22a but not continuously but still can do so for short bursts, these can handle about 1kw.

The latest G370 hub motor on TBK is 250w marked yet they offer a 48v 25a S12S KT controller to pair it with for about 950w of power.

My front 250 is holding its own on 48v, maxing out at 600w on PAS 5 however rarely used and with the sin wave at 14a it loves PAS 3 holding at 260w and no signs of over heating, controller gets a tad warm but there's limited airflow in the bag.

Ok just done a suspended no load speed test, this is quite good for comparison as both batteries were built by me with cells supplied by NKON, and they are almost the same age battery, my wifes bike KT controller has had 2 more charges than my bike Lishui controller otherwise both batteries are the same and the results were
KT controller max speed full throttle 41.9km
LISHUI controller max speed full throttle 29.9km
I have not played with any settings in either LCD both are stock as supplied.

Maybe theyhave limited the lishui so that it cannot go faster than 15km, for where there is a 15,5km limit?? SORRY WRONG ASSUMPTION JUST READ NEALH SAY 15,5 MILESnot KM IN A POST on the PREVIOUS PAGE

If it goes 30km with no load there can be no throttle limit set, just not enough power to push you past 15km with throttle alone! you would need to change the current to 15-18a max. do you still have the manual for the c500 display? also what flashes up when you turn the display on ie: 26 or 700c

Good You might get rid of the back pedal start by a different start up setting speed (0-3) or the pas sensitivity (2-63) also you could change the max current that is on the display to increase the 10kph you are getting with the throttle alone PS: The rubber band affect could be the freewheel binding and you're derailleur stretching outward multiplying any misalignment threw the chain!

41.9 kmh NLS suggests the hub is about 270rpm.

Are both hubs the same rpm ?
41.9kmh suggests a 317 rpm NLS hub & 29.9 kmh suggests a 240rpm NLS hub but as you say the Lishui may be factory set speed limited.

I dont know the RPM of the hubs, both are yosepower hubs, both have not had any adjustments through the LCD, , both standard as shipped and received, will see if I can find any specs anywhere

You are bang on! Nealh the older yose hub must be 317 rpm and the new ones must be slower wound at 227 rpm @ 36v without touching the display which is set at 40kph default They do state that it is 30-32kph max https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hub-Motor-36V250W-28-700C-Electric-Bicycle-Front-Motor-Conversion-Retrofit-Kit/333527529972?hash=item4da7ca39f4:g:excAAOSwoP1eVhOn
At least you are in a good position to rework you're battery in to a 12s to keep up with your wife +20% you would be around 4.3 kph slower. You can add 0.528 kph to your top speed that is on your display as a 29r comes in at 74cm apposed to 70cm .

I was thinking of making a 12s battery, I use a 10s4p at the moment split into 2x 5s4p packs and charge and balance using an imax b6 mini, and using lipo battery meter low voltage alarm buzzer to tell me when the voltage is low, much better than a BMS so far - the imax b6 would allow me to use 2x6s4p batteries34506

My charging system is 12v off grid and uses a solar panel, charging 2x200amp mastervolt deep cycle batteries thru a steca solarix charge controller, and an imax b6 mini charging the cells34507

Nice set up you have! just remember your caps are 50v i would expect, so i would advise setting full charge at 4.15v per cell so battery only ever gets to 24.9v X2 =49.8v
