My yose kit is here... Mid install... And found the clip on disc type sensor, just gets squashed when you tighten the crank arm back up?..... I have seen they also do another sensor in the accessories range

If the sensor gets squashed you need to get a wider a longer Bottom Bracket( square taper type) or replace it with a conventional two part disc/sensor.
Before deciding you need to measure the gap between inner crank arm face and the Bottom bracket face.

If you get a separate disc/sensorYou might be able to epoxy the magnet ring to the inner chain ring. Probably need to take some material from the centre of the magnet ring though.

And changing the length of the bottom bracket axle will mess with your chain line and ability to tune your gears. And if you are using a front derailleur, it might not have the reach to shift the chain to the large ring.

Fitting a PAS to Hollowtech cranks is a problem, take a look at the yosepower thread there are a number of suggestions there. The postage from Yosepower for a single item is extortionate, cheaper from here :-https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Free-shipping-V12-PAS-sensor-for-front-rear-hub-motor-install-on-the-right-side/32788853128.html?ws_ab_test=searchweb0_0,searchweb201602_5_10065_10068_10130_10547_10059_10548_10696_100031_10192_10190_10084_10083_10103_451_10618_452_10307_10820_10301_10821_10303,searchweb201603_56,ppcSwitch_7&algo_expid=dfb3c506-455e-470b-8c32-729aa73731b8-18&algo_pvid=dfb3c506-455e-470b-8c32-729aa73731b8&priceBeautifyAB=0

Do Shimano still supply the bearing spacers for the hollowtech system? I seem to recall getting 3 with my XT crankset. If so, you can buy an 8-pole PAS online for £6, and then take out a driveside spacer and replace with the pedal sensor. The magnet will need to be epoxyed to the inner chainring.

Thanks , ill have a look at putting it on the chain ring I think. thanks for the help

Kit used for the first time this morning, 12 miles Battery reading started as 40.15 after ride 37.00 and battery symbol still on full bar. I used the bike with throttle only helping me up hills etc... absolute brilliant. the battery lasted far better than I thought.

if any gripes on kit, it was a real struggle to get the back wheel in , almost had to stretch the frame slightly ,
