Yose power conversion kit

I have recently purchased a yose power conversion kit ( 26" wheel ) with the threaded screw on type freewheel, when I threaded the freewheel cassette onto the new yose power wheel it screw all the way on and jammed against the motor and would not turn, I was just wondering if I could put a spacer behind the cassette to stop it jamming up against the motor so that it would actually freewheel .when tighten it would not turn in any direction, this is a 7 speed cassette. Has anyone else experienced this problem, can anyone throw some light on this situation.
