Yose Power C500 advanced setting

It sets the maximum current draw for the motor. If you have a Yose Power "250w" kit the controller has a max. current of 15A and the default setting of the display as supplied is 13A.
Their "350w" kits have a controller with max. current of 18A and the default setting on the C500 display is 16A. I run my 18A controllers at 17A without problems.
Before I upgraded my 250w. 15A controller to an 18A one I ran it at the default 13A and it was adequate without being brilliant.

If you have enough power for hills, leave it as it is. If you need more power for hills, turn it up to 17A.
Not quite. The controller that the OP has is rated at 15A max. so he shouldn't exceed that. My 17A. setting is with Yose's 18A controllers.

It won't do any harm. I always used to run 15A controllers at 17A or 18A. Look up all my posts on shunt soldering. I took my 12A cyclamatic one to 16.5A and it was fine like that, then I increased the voltage by 50% and the current to 17A. It was still fine like that.
