Been on this site and I've come to conclusion that it's a rubbish shop!!! Most parts for the Haibike range and not avalible to purchase unless you have purchased a bike from them. Why? Do they want to sell parts?

Pathetic

i got 1 thing from martin and cost 5 quid for a first class stamp for a 2.99 plastic part.
Soundwave reading your posts you virtually always scour the whole internet to save a few pennies.

On this one it looks like it was the best option you had at the time:-
i ordered that plastic ring from him 3 quid for it and 4.99 postage.

was 9.50 euro postage from Germany pcg only reason i bought it

I picked up on dealers price for a 500w bosch battrey when you jumped to conclusions & criticised another dealer on the price of a battery but showed it was hardly worth that dealer selling the product.

Have you ever been in business? If so you would understand that the postage cost is often the smallest part of any company's postage & packing charges.

It does seem that he was charged at an extreme rate for the postage of what were relatively inexpensive parts. Why is that?

At first I thought that it was because they may have been heavier items, but they were just plastic. An admin fee perhaps?

Post office rates.

Because someone had to be paid to package it and take it to the post office. Stamps and labour guess which one costs the most...

I have run a business :D

I just paid $25 postage to BMSbattery for $40 worth of goods and it is coming from their warehouse in the Netherlands not China...

I would think any sensible company owner would want to sell as many units/products and spare parts as possible. Think of it like this, if that shop was the only shop selling that particular brand of merchandise, they could charge whatever price they wanted. Yes you could choose to buy a different brand but what if that had to be the brand you needed? Plus I'm a big believer in not ripping people off, there's making a profit and there's taking the ****!!

A lot of the time, they take the ****......shame how the world runs on greed.

Martin sold me a Bosch battery.

It was a few years ago when he was on here more often, but he answered a post I put on here on a Sunday evening and knocked a bit off.

Not bad, given that at the time very few suppliers had any stock of Bosch batteries.

I doubt that's changed, certainly in the UK.

Actually they don't.

Done a quick comparison between some of their current prices & Soundwave's latest favourite supplier:-

Bosch 500W battery
Adrenalin price £849.99
e-bikeshop.co.uk price £699.99

Bosch Intuvia LCD display
Adrenalin price £119.99
e-bikeshop.co.uk price £89.99

Bosch Nyon display kit
Adrenalin price £489.99
e-bikeshop.co.uk price £449.99

Bosch Performance Spider Upgrade
Adrenalin price £16.99 + £2.99
e-bikeshop.co.uk price £11.99

Postage & packing at £4.99 looks like a bargain to me!

Those prices are all well and good IF you purchased your bike from him,but if you did not then he is NOT interested.

What makes me laugh about him and his business ethics was the fact he does not offer any advise on here unlike the rest of the traders that are only to willing to help.

there still a tad cheaper if you look on the German bike shops all the parts are.

a 400w Yamaha batt is 100 quid cheaper if bought from Germany just might have a problem if needing to send it back.

b4 the pound went down you could save a few hundred quid if buying a bike but about the same price now both sides.

and tbh i should of never had to pay for that part and bosch should of gave it to every one with a bike that never had one fitted in the first place.

I do think one ought to be careful on an open forum before slating a person. If unfounded it rather libellous and can get the forum into trouble.

I've posted before on here defending other retailers who I've never met against keyboard warriors.

Virtually every small business person I've ever met is extremely hard working & I just don't like it when people like you post untruths which could potentially harm a small business.

What you don't like does not interest me and what are you going on about every small business person is hard working ....where did that come from.o_O

YOU need to get your facts right as to me posting untruths 99% of the time he will NOT sell parts to people that did not buy there bike from him and as to him offering advise to forum members well your more likely to find rocking horse poo.

Also have you looked in a mirror lately about keyboard warriors.!!!
