Would you ride an e-bike without mudguards

I guess it all depends whether people are using them for commuting or other journeys regardless of weather, or only on sunny days.

Personally I have the Kudos King for commuting which doesn't have mudguards as standard. On wet days I was getting very wet feet, and although the rack and battery stops the spray up the back there was alot of wet and mud coming forward onto the crank area. I have now fitted a wrap round type to the rear, and a mountain style one to the front. Perhaps you could offer optional extras such as mudguards ?

On my Specialised Rock Hopper I have a seat piller mounted type to stop mud on the back, and on my Cannondale Synapse racing bike I wouldn't dream of fitting mudguards.
To be serious for a moment.....

My Oxygen has brackets for quickly putting a front mudguard on and I have one of those easy on/off rear ones - if it remotely looks like rain they go on - if not they stay off because I think it looks better without them!

The Burisch has no bracket and I only use it in the dry.

So far this system works fine for me - but then I don't use them to commute. If I had to commute I no doubt would have a third bike with permanent mudguards - because its practical and on a Monday morning nobody give a s*** how sexy you or your bike look.

:)

May I respectfully point out that it is extremely unlikely that anybody would give a s*** how sexy you or your bike look at anytime ... :p

For goodness sake ... go outside ... put some bl**dy mudguards on ... and play nicely! :D

Again one has to look at the pro's and con's of literally everything.

In this example one needs to examine closely the pro's of getting your bike dirty.

:)
May I add a Pro.... Mud is a good rust retardent.

I think u cannot regard them as your average cyclist, off on a suicide mission worrying about whether the mudguards are not in keeping with their mission. :p
You are forgetting they want to look their best when going to meet their maker, Friday best turban etc.

Riding without mudguards has many advantages obviously overlooked by some of our more sensible members:

1) it makes you look sexier to girls and increases your chances of getting some
The kind of girls who fancy men with sh*t-coloured stripes up their backs (and often fronts too).

With and without. After trying nearly every bike at Kudos HQ, last week, we decided on two with mudguards. I would have gone for the King, but as I use it to commute in all weathers the mudguards are important to me and the wife likes mudguards and me in a clean shirt! And we are really pleased with our Eco and Tourer.

Sorry but I was never much of a fan of virgins. Especially if Anne Widdecombe is a typical example.
Now now. Be nice to Anne. Walk a mile in a (wo)mans shoes before judging him (her).

Mind you - she's catholic - any person who believes in some supernatural being that can convict you of thought crime deserves all they get I suppose.

[insert evil grin]

Tried for a while with this as shown

Even though I tend only to take it out on dryer days even then I still found muck got kicked up into the BB and up under the front fork steerer tube so have put them back on again. Too much hassle to keep cleaning it up.

Definitely like the sleeker look without but not practical I guess.

Jerry

I might buy an ebike without them if I didn't know any better, no way I would do that now.
I've got a mtb style mudguard on the back at the moment as that's the only thing that fits over my balloon tyre, even with that the slightest little puddle means I get a dirty stripe up my back, :(

I don't ride any bike without mudguards. At the moment, my bike has no front 'guard, but not for lack of trying to find one.
