There was also a very large pile of these bike stands in my local Lidl at 08.45 this morning. I bought one a year ago and it works very well with my Agattu.
I was at Lidl this morning to pickup a wireless cyclometer: Crivit £7.99. I bought one of these a year ago, and it compared very well with my gps, and was quickly responsive to speed changes. Unfortunately when I was in the middle of a measurement the display unit, feel off the bike, and I did not realise it for someway, and then I did not wont to break the measurement ride and go back to look for it. Stupidly, I had temporarily taped the display onto the bike because I did not have space to use the handlebar clamp. I won't make that mistake twice.
A bit later last year, when I saw another advertised in Lidl, I bought it - it was a wired one. Although also a Crivit one it did not work nearly as well as the wireless version. It seemed to average the speed over several seconds. I like to accelerate to 10 -12mph and then hold the speed fairly steady. The wired one was no good to indicate accurately the point when you just reach the required speed. Also the wired pickup seemed to be much more tricky to setup.
