Still no review??? Shame
It looks to be a very good deal, I've asked Woosh to contact me when they're back in stock (all gone apparently) so the other half can keep up with me up the hills (and I'm still leg powered only).
If it's really good I might get a CD kit to do a conversion.

I had a quick ride on a CD today, and also followed the owner for a short while. It was more powerful and quieter than my Bosch bike, the owner who I imagine produces less than half my leg power was able to pull away from me with not much effort on his part. A shame that the rest doesn't match my KTM, to be expected given the price difference I suppose.

I'd get your Bosch sorted out. Something must be wrong with it unless Woosh have done something substantial to increase their power. I tried everything to try and get the humble TCM motor up to Bosch power, but I failed miserably. Presumably the one you went on was standard.

I read your testing of the CD woosh d8veh (and most of your other crank drive posts too actually) I think its fair to say you gave it a 'proper' test cracking open the controller etc so well done matey!
Did the TCM have its speed limiter lifted and the 'pulling away' was done at 25kph + pedalling?
That would give the impression of more 'power'.
Website says they are out of stock but you can reserve for batch arriving on 30th September.
I believe they might be out of stock of the bafang BBS01 kits shown on their website too.

I am pretty certain my Bosch is working as it should do. Comparing the two side by side the woosh goes faster with less rider input, the Bosch needs more rider input to produce the same speed. Hopefully next time I see him I'll be feeling a bit better and be more able to give a better comparison test.

Gear changes were pretty brutal on power, and killing the power with a brake meant a big loss of momentum, there was a long delay before the power came back in, setting off was the same, best to twist the throttle to set off, again even the throttle seemed delayed by a bit.

Edit. He hadn't managed to get his speedo working yet, whether that has any effect I don't know?

The Woosh has a throttle, so you can get more power with less leg input in certain conditions. If you race your mate up a 10% hill, I think that you'll get a different picture.

The speedometer gets it's speed from the wheel magnet. If you move the magnet away from the sensor, all speed limits are released, so that it'll go even above the maximum 40km/h in the software, but you don't get any extra torque, so you can hardly feel the assistance at top speeed.

If Woosh read this, the sine-wave controllers from BMSBattery, have very little run-on from the PAS sensor, and they start more quickly after braking. Their new S06P is probably the same. I think that it would be a big improvement over the present controller.

awesome ;)
what I will say is although its touted as being 'not as powerful as the bosch' or whatever else, this shows that in the real world for normal everyday users its a very useful tool straight out of the box.
I think I am right in saying that the bosch requires an expensive plug in dongle type thingy to achieve those speeds should you wish to take either of them off highway.

The speeds we were doing the comparison on were below 16 mph with some inclines. I need to try and go for a longer ride next time. I didn't like the bike, the saddle and sprung seat post are truly dreadful and want throwing in the bin.

Looking back to the photo in the first post the bike I rode has a rack mounted battery and mudguards, and rim brakes on the rear, which were actually a lot lot better than the almost dangerously poor front disc brake. Which actually is this one http://wooshbikes.co.uk/electric-bikes/sirocco-cd/
