So much chat about throttles banned from 1/1/2016. Does anyone know whether we finally signed up to EN15194?

They are treated as legal if they complied with the pedelec law at the time of the build, i.e. the 1983 EAPC regulations, but allowed up to 250 watts rather than the 200 watts that specifies. They have grandfather rights. So does this make all homebuilt/kit bikes illegal ? Do the ones built before April 2015 have grandfather rights ?
One very good reason why we should vote out of the EU - we are just too compliant with every damned law that the EU pass, whereas other countries either comply or not, according to their own political preferences.only Britain and France had adopted EN15194 as compulsory.

Lancslass....I had a visit from a branch of HMRC to say that one of my businesses ,a very successful direct to consumer business should be vat registered and doing quarterly returns in 17 EU countries and that I needed to have an employee who could communicate in their language....my Lithuanian or Swedish is a bit rusty these days, hehe! One very good reason why we should vote out of the EU - we are just too compliant with every damned law that the EU pass, whereas other countries either comply or not, according to their own political preferences.
The Greek don't work enough hours in the day to exceed 30,000 Euros a year, that's one of the reasons they are bankrupt - bless!can you imagine that the HMRC lady's counterpart in say Greece is stopping them selling to say Belgium when they exceed 30,000 euros annual business.

Probably a Billy no good....My brother tried setting up a company in the UK. His visa was revoked and he was asked to move back to NZ...
No it’s because the wealthy Greek elites are mobile and international and don’t see why they should pay their taxes in Greece. That buy up Knightsbridge instead. The Greek don't work enough hours in the day to exceed 30,000 Euros a year, that's one of the reasons they are bankrupt - bless!
