Wisper are one of our oldest established brands. their customer service is excellent and they come on this forum to help anybody with queries, but obviously, they can't answer your question other than to tell you where to go to try one.

The bike represents an up-to-date presentation of Chinese electric bike technology, which is leaps ahead of where it was a few years ago. What more is there to say. I can't think of any negatives.

The motor is very smooth and quiet and reasonably powerful, whilst at the same time being very unobtrusive, so you can pedal without power if you want and without any penalty other than the extra weight of the electrical stuff. It's probably lighter than similar electric bikes.

The control system is very convenient. It gives you the power you want (high or low) on demand regardless of how hard you want to pedal. The throttle can be set to full speed range if you want rather than the default walk-assist 6km/hr, which is convenient if your pedalling is hindered in any way.

The rest of the stuff is standard durable bicycle components - all aluminium and stainless steel, so nothing to go rusty.

It's like my wife's Toyota. Not the most exciting to look at but it just goes on and is good quality. I have no regrets buying mine and the damn battery has a range and a half. I did 25 km the other day and only had one light go out. Oh and I tend to max the assistance. :D
Looking forward to the 2017 models.......

Thanks Crockers, we will be mainly keeping the formular we have now, it seems to be working well. We will be concentrating on keeping the bikes strong and reliable. And having enough stock to satisfy the market.

Apart from the new 24" 705 which will be here for the bike show at the NEC, we will have a couple of new Wisper "Cashé" models that will arrive later in the year.

Try this thread from Post #7 down for stuff from Suseka who's a reasonably new 705 SE owner.
Yep, had the 705se for a couple of months now and I am extremely pleased with it. As others have said, the build quality is great and the components all look sturdy and reliable. The computer / controller is very easy to work -although at first I was worried it would be a bit fiddly with it being positioned close to the left handle (thought I might struggle changing settings when riding) -but it's not been a problem at all.

I bought the bike as a commuter -but not using it as such yet; have had lots of great rides out and about my local area though and each time I have really enjoy it. The assist levels are very good and, as I said in my comment on the thread AN linked you to, I can choose to increase or decrease the assistance depending on the ride or how i'm feeling that day. The gears are smooth and change up and down easily, the seat is comfortable and I don't really notice the sound of the motor when on the go.

I like having the battery under the back rack, because it is less obtrusive and I have the pannier extension which you will need if you intend to use panniers.

I bought from a very good local dealer and so far the after sales service has been great. That to me is very important because I'm not good with fixing problems with bikes and, being electric, it will need regular servicing.

If you can, do go and test ride some models -it'll help you decide what best for you.
