Wisper Front Forks problem

Anyone had any problems with the front suspension forks on the 905 SE Sports?

My bike is only 6 months old, and the forks appear to be seized solid!
This is a major problem for me on this bike mainly because of the fixed handlebars on this model. (Which still does not appear on Wisper's own website pictures, they still have the adjustable stem handlebars in the 905se pictures), I was disappointed about this when the bike arrived, but the extra force exerted by my weight being too far forward onto the bars, was somewhat compensated for by the front suspension, not so now, every bump jars my wrists!
The bike has never been used off road at all, and the roads around here are not too bad really so all in all a bit dissapointing, I will have to contact Wisper to see what can be done.

There's a lever on top of the right hand leg which locks them. Try moving it to the unlock position, or have you already done that?

yeah had the bike 6 months, they are jammed solid wherever the lever position, it's not the lock thanks.

If you pedal harder it reduces the weight on your wrists.
more useful advice may be to tip the saddle back slightly (nose up) as that can shift your balance a bit. My 905 had jammed forks from new, I never noticed but Wisper swapped them out when it went in for a different repair.
You should try contacting the retailer first as it's their responsibility to fix it.

lol, yeah I suppose that's true, but the reason I got the bike was to ease the pressure on my feet as I have dodgy toe joints! I will try the saddle tip though, and just be careful not to go over the handlebars... ouch....!
Interesting yours were jammed from new Mussels, hopefully it's not going to be a regular occurance!
I contacted Wisper this morning and a tech phoned me back, I think they are going to replace the forks for me, it looks like the top seals have come out too far and that's what will be jamming the forks.

Update on faulty forks problem.
No word from e-bikes direct since I spoke to the tech guy on the 15th August. I had sent him a photograph of the forks, and the number which was on them, as he wasn't sure which forks were on my bike.
I phoned e-bikes this morning to see what was happening, and was told I would be called back later today, no phone call materialised, so I rang again at 5 pm. I was then told that there was an email from Wisper asking what the size of the forks were, and had to go and measure from the handlebar stem to the top of the fork for them.
It is beyond me how they can sell a bike without having the relevant information stored on that particular model so they can provide an after sales replacement parts service without the customer having to jump through hoops!
I wonder how long I would have waited had I not phoned them today?
I am still annoyed about not being able to adjust the handlebars on this bike, when the pictures on the website show clearly that they are adjustable, as does the manual they sent me!!
They now have a line in the specs saying that the handlebars are no longer adjustable, well too late for me I'm afraid, will be trying a different bike next time!

They now have a line in the specs saying that the handlebars are no longer adjustable, well too late for me I'm afraid, will be trying a different bike next time!

If it's any consolation I'd rather not have the adjustable handlebars (I've had 2 bikes with it), they are a compromise that I don't think works as well as you'd like. A bike's geometry involves the handlebars and changing this changes the bike a lot, on top of that it's extra bits to go wrong and need attention.

Well I'm pretty tall so when the seat is high, I have a lot of pressure on my wrists from the low handlebars, and any more height would help. I should have tried more bikes before buying this one.
Not happy with the mileage either, checked it last Saturday on a run of 10.5 miles, which had 3 hills of around 200 metres at about 20%, and the rest of it fairly flat. The bike was down to a single battery light after this small distance, having been fully charged when I started the run. My 3 year old alien cruiser is better than that with it's 10 amp 36 volt Li/ion battery which is also 3 years old! Range was the main reason for buying this bike with it's claimed 56 miles on a single charge!
I would be lucky to get 18 miles from mine on the middle assist setting whilst peddling fairly hard all the time.
I let my daughter, (who is a lot fitter than me and rides an unassisted bike around Edinburgh daily), take it on the same route as me last Sunday, and as well as complaining about the handlebars, did not get any more miles out of it than I did myself!
She is only 5' 4" as well.
Still no word from Wisper about replacement forks either, or indeed any help from them on this clinic!
I am almost at the point of trading it in for something more suitable!!

There are many things that can be changed to alter the weight on your wrists, saddle angle is one of them.

Your battery range seems wrong, if I hardly pedal and cover a fairly hilly 20 miles I still have 2 lights showing on the battery.
I believe the Wisper team have been busy at a bike show, they are usually very helpful. You should be chasing the retailer though, they were the ones paid to sort out problems.
