Hi everyone

I have been waiting for the past month for my cycle to work scheme voucher to be approved up to £1000

during that time I went to the On bike show on 3rd July 2016 and tried out the Wisper 905 Torque which suits my purpose adding an additional £500 to the voucher cost as the bike is listed at £1499.00

I particually like the torque action on setting off which requires very little effort to get up to speed.

However since I went to the show at Onbikes I have been wondering if there are any other bikes out there based on the same spec as the Wisper but for less money

As this is my first electric bike I am having trouble justifying the cost of £1499.00 to myself

Any advice would be welcome

We have some torque sensored versions of our Sport used to test out the new system to be used on our latest bike "Roller", which itself has now arrived for review. You can take a look at Roller only at our New Mills workshop for the time being (call to confirm availability).
The TQ Sports are available for £1250 (2 left only) and Roller will probably retail at £1380 from the end of August.
Unfortunately New Mills (SK12 2PY) is a fair journey from Telford.

We do have a few Mk1 905 Torque bikes available at £1,199, and 929Torques at £1,299, they are last year's model but still excellent Wisper bikes.

Our 29er sports 10 speed Simano Alivio gears, hydraulics etc, etc.

If you are interested please give me a call. We can supply via our dealer network. Just a thought.

Here's Nelson Piquet Jr with his 929Torque.

All the best, David

If you've tried it and like it then just go for it. I've had no problems with my old se classic. Also Wisper support you. What price to put on that?

David has whetted my interest with his forth coming bike with an intergrated battery. Damn you David. Lol.

Similar to Lord Luton... I would suggest considering the 905se. My hubby has recently purchased one and he really likes it. He tried the Torque, but went for the SE, not because of price, but because it suited his needs. Something to consider maybe :)

I am not looking at this site anymore. Will delete it from my favourites. It's a shame as I have had electric bikes for years and love talking about them. I was told you have some sad people on here who pounce at everything anyone writes .goodbye and enjoy your bike whatever model you have.

Come on Nigel, let's be pleasant to each other. I am sure we are are all delighted that you are enjoying your Kalkoff. Apart from the one problem with "clacking" they are great bikes as are the guys at 50 Cycles.

Let's try and get along with each other? This a great forum and very helpful to a lot of people thinking about getting involved with ebikes. We should all try to be positive.

Kind regards, David
