Hi everyone,

Can anyone tell me How to wire 3 battery's in series and 1 in parallel please
A more precise statement of what you mean is needed.

If you mean four identical batteries then the answer is you can't. If you mean three of one kind in series, and another of a different kind in parallel with the three, then it depends on the battery details.

So, describe the batteries, ideally post pictures of their labels so that the question can be properly understood.

Getting things wrong with batteries is dangerous. Always have a fuse in series with each battery or series string of batteries. Don't connect anything that you do not understand.

Not possible.

Three can be connected in series to make 36V, 12Ah. But you cannot then connect a single 12V battery in parallel with 36V. Only batteries of the same nominal voltage and the same type can be safely paralleled, and even then, precautions are needed to make sure voltages are sufficiently close before connecting.

If this is not understood, then please do not proceed. Don't mess with batteries if you don't properly understand what is being done. There is enough stored energy for a very nasty accident.

It sounds as though your Dad is not an electrician, and attempting to do what you posted, would most likely cause a major fire.
For 36 volts, you need either 3 batteries in series = 36 volts at 12 ah, or 6 in series/parallel, for 36 volts at 25ah.
But you cannot achieve it with all 4 batteries.
But, I do not recommend doing anything at all as it could cause a major accident.
Even if he did it, will he build/buy a 36 volt lead acid battery charger....? The ones for e-bikes are for Li-ion, not for Lead Acid batteries......not nowadays at any rate....
If its for an e-bike, it will have a very short range, and a clump of heavy batteries to carry around somehow.
Best idea = don't even try to do it!! The result will be nowhere near as good as a quality Li-ion battery, at 36 volts, with the correct type of charger, and he will get reasonable range.....
Best wishes
Andy

For 36v x 24ah you dad needs 6 x 12v 12ah batteries, other wise he can only use 3 for 36v 12ah.
