Will this kit fit on my bike?

Hi there

looking at getting bafang mid drive conversion kit for my bike, I’ve posted the link for the kit and pics of my bike below. My questions are:

Are the kit and my bike compatible?
Is this kit easy to install?
will I need any further tools/fittings?
Roughly how fast will it go?

Probably be fairly easy to fit, you will need a crank puller and maybe a special spanner to remove the bottom bracket.

You may have issues if brake or gear cables or pipes are routed under the bottom bracket. You could have to reroute them, and possibly grind off existing guides.

At a guess it could assist you to somewhere around 25mph on the flat, maybe a bit more.

You didn't ask if it would be legal to ride it, to which the simple answer is 'no'.
For an e-bike to count as a Pedelec which can be ridden on and off road with the same rules as a regular bike the motor must be a max 250w and assisted speed a max 15.5 mph. You could ride that one off-road in a private place with no public access (eg not canal paths, bridleways, etc), and on road if you get it registered, plated, insured etc.

p.s. Lots of people happily ignore these regulations and if you ride responsibly you are very unlikely to be pulled up because of them or prosecuted. If you have an accident police or rival insurance companies might look more carefully. I think adverts should be required to make very bold statements pointing out the legal aspect to potential purchasers.

I'd advise checking what type bottom bracket you have.
Mid drive units such as the one you want are built for use with an older style square taper bottom bracket.
I suspect the bike you are wanting to use has a hollowtech bottom bracket and therefor will need an adapter which I recently discovered is ridiculously expensive.
I'd also advise checking whether the battery supplied with the kit will fit your bike.
I already have the kit you linked to (with a slightly smaller ring) and I've discovered these issues while trying to fit it to my new bike. I've ended up having to buy the adapter (£110) and a new battery (£220).
I had it fitted to a 700c touring bike and was able to ride along on a flat road with minimal wind at around 28-30mph. I don't expect a huge difference when it's mounted to my mountain bike.
In most kits, Bafang include their own lockring tool. You will (if I'm correct about your bottom bracket) need a tool to remove that. About £15 at the most. Other than that, it's just Allen keys and some zip ties to tidy up the cables. Oh, and a star key to tighten the wheel sensor magnet.
