Does anyone know? I didn't get the chance to go last year but I loved the a-b writeup of the 'bike race'.
It's in Radnorshire in the Welsh borders area. Google maps Google Maps shows the place if you enter Presteigne in the search box. The nearest train station is Knighton about 7 miles away (over some long, steep hills). The only trains that run there are on the 'Heart of Wales' line Welcome to the Heart of Wales and comprise of a single carriage which travels from Shrewsbury (or Swansea at the other end) only a few times a day. There's no dedicated space for bikes and in fact the luggage space provided isn't quite big enough to fit in a full size bike (although a folder would fit easily). Aside from the problem of taking a bike on this train, unless you've got a bike with the motor power going through the geartrain or one designed with excellent hillclimbing in mind, the hills alone are battery charge sapping. Is this place in Wales North West of Hereford??
If so, I can't see a railway station within a charges ride of it.
How about a few more details on it please.
Sav.
Where did you get that name from? Do you mean the follically challenged bloke with the mic who handed over the trophy and made the announcements over the PA? What else is he known for - certainly not running any countries in the middle east. It was altogether a fun event and the host certainly helped to make that so. The community spirit was extremely positive also. Only downside is the difficulty getting there.great vid. The MC was ace. president armadinajad no less. wonder what celebs we'll have this year
As much as I'd love to help you get your bike back quicker, I dont have any influence over that. You need to be talking to the dealer where it's gone. They're the ones who should be keeping you updated on its progress and if they're not, tell them you want them to do so.If I get my bike back before then a race sound great
