Will I be faster?

All,
I currently commute just under 13miles each way with average speed 14-18mph depending on weather/tiredness etc. If I got a bosch pedelec with a dongle (it's off road). Would I be faster? I get that the dongle only helps above 15mph and doesn't give it any more oomph.

I just care about speed and am happy to pedel to make this happen as my commute is my exercise.

My commute may go up to 18miles each way which will mean the tiredness will set in, again assume a pedelec would be worth it.

I have boardman pro hybrid now set up in full commuter mode. I was thinking of a haibike xdurao trekking sl.

Any guidance on my situation much appreciated.

Easily much faster, you'll need a battery top-up at work though, so you'll need two chargers if you don't want to carry it to work every day.

Yes will deco top up at work.

What sort of average mph can you expect if you pedal well and have a dongle on the flat.

With that bike with the dual drive Sram gears I'd think it will have gearing high enough to allow you to pedal up to the modded assist speed of 33 mph. Hard to give a definite figure on speed, at least 5 mph faster average speed perhaps.

Sounds very promising.

Would someone be as tired after riding a 21kg pedelec at 23mhp ave as a 10kg bike at 18mph ave?

I would say so, or you have the option to put a lot less effort in for a similar time to your unassisted times, but it will be hard to put so little effort in I imagine.
