Hello all,

I have few motors needing repair, do you know anyone or any company who can help?
- 2 X leafbike rear direct drive motor with some bearing noise issue. When running it makes strange noises
- 1X leaf bike (it's this motor: http://www.leafbike.com/products/e-bike-hub-motor/gearless-20-24-26-700c-28-29-inch/48v-1000w-rear-spoke-hub-motor-electric-bike-motor-spline-cassette-1015.html)
- 1X Rear Mac motor with failed hall sensor
- 1X BBS-02 doing strange noise when pedalling

Looks like a lot... I usually buy new but they fail after some time. I'm hesitating to buy new again but maybe someone can help?

Thank you.

I might be able to help with the BBS02. I've stripped and rebuilt a few. Are you able to post/send a short video illustrating the noise in the first instance? Cheers. Darren

thanks. It's a noise that's only happening when I push with pressure on the pedal. It doesn't happen with the motor running.

If you are seller, do you run some warranty scheme? I'd like to have some sort of hassle free warranty on motors & parts... happy to pay some sort of repair insurance that would free up my mind!

Hmmm, is it a sort of creaking or clicking/cracking metallic noise when the cranks are under heavier load? More obvious uphill or when trying to accelerate hard? Could it be something as simple as the crank arms on the square taper?
Initially I would try tightening the crank bolts and/or removing them, cleaning with ISO or similar to remove any dirt/grime/grease and refitting securely.
If it's more gear/cog noise?..perhaps some fresh grease on the secondary drive gear is required?
Moving on from either of those a short video clip could help to identify if it's something more serious than the above two suggestions.
I do work with BBSxx motors but don't offer anything like you suggest but always happy to help :)

Your still alive Cwah :p.
You have been very quite on here but have seen you have been on ES.
Give Woosh a call as I believe they can carry out repairs.

Thanks you. I'm more looking for someone who can do it... at a price or to sell it.

I don't have that much time these days... especially when there are so many motors to repair!!

Yes still alive but with significantly less time to work on ebikes... i'm still using my dahon jetstream but it's showing sign of aging and many parts (including motor) need either a good refurbishment or replacement.

I'm looking for a provider who can provide parts reparation... because I know it always ends up failing at some stage....

If nothing else I may just buy new but I don't think it's a good long term solution..
