Hi
I have an Urban glider um33 off ebay. Haven't tried the electric part fully as the charger was dead! and i didn't check that before parting with the cash.
Can't find much info on this model as it must be a few years old. But it's heavy!
Well it will do for start.

Synergie Mistral

Just ordered a Synergie Mistral today. Will post a review when it's had a good work out! Or will that be me getting the good work-out..

I'm a Mistral owner as well, very very happy with it, it's powerful, economical and is a very easy bike to own and operate. Quality is suprisingly good for a mass market Chinese product, the saddle is large and sprung which is great for me as my commute is done mostly on a canal tow path and cycle trail. It's a 14 mile return trip with a long hill at both ends, 'E' economy mode pedal assist is enough for 14mph along the tow path (my daughter reached 19.7mph with only the twist grip but she's just a slip of a girl).
The Mistral seems to be unrestricted out of the box, pedal assist continues past 15mph, the battery charges in half the suggested time and after that 14 mile return trip 4 of the 5 battery lights were still lit.
When I've put some serious miles on the bike I'll post a full review but at the moment I have to say that I'm not looking back.

Hello sealaltea
I've been taking a good look at your pics for a few days, which helped with my decision. Thanks for those!
My journey will be a 22 mile round trip, I'm hoping that the battery is going to maintain a sufficient charge for that distance over its lifetime.
Interesting that it powers past 15mph...makes it illegal?!?

Go a 2nd hand Quando last week. "Nice bike" from a couple of 12 year olds I passed on the way home tonight. Not sure about it yet - I wish it was more of a pedal cycle but I don't think I have the wherewithall to turn it into a Flecc Q bike. Feel a bit guilty not pedalling.

You could spend a bit of the time pedalling aerobically, just spin at a comfortable pace and nobody will know you're not pedalling. It's still good exercise to keep the muscles and joints supple and in good shape, but without sweat involved.

Pedal backwards while going forwards. That really confuses people. :D

New member IZIP owner

Hi

I am a new member and have owned an IZIP Trail Z enlightened for one year now. It has a curry geared hub motor and the NimH potted batteries are concealed in the downframe.

I live in Cambridgeshire and have used the bike for leisure, mainly off road ie. reservoirs with cycle tracks.

IZIP is based in the USA, the bike is pedal assist only, not too heavy at 22 Kg, is great for off and on road use and I have had hours of trouble free cycling. Does anyone else in this forum own an IZIP ?

Best regards

Paulo

Re Paulo's message

Yep I've had my Izip Trailz since last Wednesday, not the enlightened model so rather a beast at 37Kg. I'm finding it ideal for my rather short uphill commute.

I've ticked off Currie on the poll question above.

Allien Lynx

Hello Everyone,

I have got a Allien Lynx which I think is the same what Synergy Vivace - at least they look the same on the picture and on the spec.

I'm afraid only a minority record their ownership Danny, so the figures are not a true representation.

Back in the middle of September, when I discovered that Kalkhoff was now included, I saw the message under the bar chart "You have already voted on this poll". True, but the only option then was "Other". This must have put people off.

But I "voted" again anyway.

I'm sure it's been asked before but why list rarities like Swizzbee but not mainstream like Wisper who's owners must make up a significant number of the 'other' entries?

You're right John, it has been asked many times.

The problem is that this thread was started by a member early in the forum life when many of today's bike including the Wispers didn't exist. Adding them in belatedly wouldn't make sense in quantitative terms, and there's also the fact that there's no provision for members to change their entry when they change their bike.

Clearly this needs to be replaced with something more satisfactory, but as yet there hasn't been a solution proposed. Personally I doubt if it has much value since only a minority of members have ever registered what they own, so nothing much can be read into it.

Why does this thread keep showing up in "New Posts" with the latest post marked as "Today 12.22", when as far as I can see the last post was on 15th October?

Edit:
Well, that seems to have fixed it; or will this post show as the latest for days to come?

Edit 2: Oh, and by the way, why does this post show as being at 18.17 when it's actually only 18.07?

The hosting for the pedelecs site always has had a fast clock for some odd reason, no idea why.

Perhaps it's an attempt at time travel.

My First post,
Found pedelecs a few days ago, can't quite remember how I came acoss it really, and nice to be a member.
LOVE my brand new e bike - the Wisper 905se, bought from and skilfully sold to me by Phil from Sammy Miller's at New Milton last week. Tonight, (Tuesday the 4th), I fitted the lights, the computer it came with, slightly and effectively adjusted the front disc, checked the pressures of the tyres - and away, flew to Bournemouth from where I am near Christchurch, Dorset, (about 12 miles there and back).
I'd like to give a fuller review when I have had it longer, but first impressions are FANTASTIC, so fast, quiet and smooth, a lot better than my 24 spd Powarbyke Commuter that I have had for a couple of years, that's ok but this Wisper Works 905se is a far greater pleasure to use.
Like Mandy, I love it!
