One of my folders is the Dahon D7 speed if you don't want to pay Brompton money, you wont go too far wrong with the Dahon, I've got schwalbe marathon plus tyres on my one and it get used like any full size bike, it's a surprizingly fast bike too, I wouldn't go for anything for less money than this though as alot of cheap folders really do suck and are no fun at all!

Dahon have some decent bikes (not for commuting though) But I agree the Brompton is the one...often shocked by the turn of speed when I see them in central London.

More so when they have a Tongxin and a set of Kojaks onboard
