all you can do is get it insured so if the worst does happen it will get replaced but i dread to think how much that bike above would be a month to insure if any will even insure it.

Good point. I am afraid somebody can knock me down when I am driving, and steal my bike. As I am a womanThe trouble is bike thieves are sometimes dodgy tradesmen, who look out for easy to steal bikes, while they're driving around doing other things - a mate recently had his £7000 (second hand MV Agusta) motorbike stolen from his driveway. Insurance wouldn't pay because he didn't lock it - said he only popped indoors for a minute. He absolutely loved that bike, won't shut up about it. Gone in 60 seconds...
Being tradesmen, they have all bike stealing tools to hand.
I've cycled past a lot of dodgy types. If you're cycling towards them, they won't have time to think and you'll be gone by the time they have. If they're behind you, it's very unlikely they'll be able to run at 15.5mph for long.Good point. I am afraid somebody can knock me down when I am driving, and steal my bike. As I am a woman
