My almost new (out of guarantee) second hand Cyclamatic (£300) is not very good. Makes a horrid noise frequently after 300 miles, cuts out sometimes, only 10 miles juice, back heavy making the good disc brakes (rear) essential if alarming stopping suddenly, balance toward the back questionable (not compared it). However, it solved the problem of a 10% hill which it struggles with but makes it better than pedal power. It can handle a Force 5 headwind and gradual inclines quite well. For very short trips (> 2 miles), not worth the hassle. Comes into its own for practical use near the limit of its battery power (8 miles, which is not very far). Still a good buy (just about: if it lasts the year) as I need a cheaper model for some trips where security is not such a big deal. Looking for an new ebike next year. I would buy a Whoosh if I had a chance to try one out. Kreiger, but I would need a trial run. Charging is only 95% successful.
PS: It is a good a ride as the Kalkhoff I tried. Better because of the throttle (essential). Cyclamatic is a shopping bike really, not a daytripper.
