Which Crank Sensor do I buy?

So I bought a second hand Carrera Vengeance E Bike the other day however I noticed the Crank sensor was missing/ ripped off. I was just wondering if there was any way of identifying which crank sensor I need to purchase to replace it as I’ve seen there’s a fair few versions. I do however have a partial bit of the cable which has 4 pins.

You need the 4pin version.

I’m a little confused as to which one I’d have to pick up, the description on the black one doesn’t mention a year it’s suitable for.

They're all 4-wire ones. Don't buy any used ones if the outer sleeve insulation has pulled out of the plastic main part. 1 looks sort of OK, 2 is OK, 3 looks like it's been pulled. There should be a cable tie on it that holds it in, which you can see in picture 2,

Can you replace the old crank sensor with an upgraded or new type? i can only seem to find old/second hand ones and was therefore thinking of purchasing a newer type sensor if its interchangeable?

Give them a call to see if they have them yet.

The early ones work with 4 wires, the later ones have 6, so they're not interchangeable.

Thank you , i was hoping that maybe i could remove the old and replace with a new type of crank sensor, is or has this been done before that you know off. Again thank you for your help
