Hi, I'm looking to build my first DIY ebike. I've ridden a few manufactured ebikes, both mid-drive and hub drive and have decided to build my own.
Before I start searching for a second hand bike to use as a base I need to get a feel for things like common wheel sizes when buying hub motors etc, so that I don't back myself into a corner with the frame.

Can anyone recomend any good sources of ebike component in the UK?
...I've had a look at Amazon and ebay but they mostly sell kits, whereas I'm looking to buy the wheel with integrated motor seperately from the other components such as the controller, battery, throttle and computer...

You may pay a premium for buying separately. I'd say the best value is probably a kit without battery. Yose power are worth a look as they have many products that ship from the UK so no additional tax and their prices are competitive. I've bought two kits and two batteries from ebay, one kit from Amazon but that was warehouse clearance. I've bought a few bits from aliexpress.

Thanks Bonzo, they look good although I'm looking for a matching set (front and back wheel) of a geared hub motor wheels 350-500w, so doesn't look like they can provide that but still a usefull starting point for me to source parts from.
