I notice over the years the old dead stuff and some live that you could get for £50 to a £100 no longer seems to exist. Old sakura's, Powabykes, unbranded things even the down right and hideous seem to have gone up in price. It use to be a good cheap source of learning for me my sons and daughters and kids on the estate or I work with, but alas no longer so as there is no funding from work for the purchase of them and this seems to start taking it out of the price range of most parents chipping in like they did for the odd battery or tyres etc.
Have many others noticed this or not? I use to travel a lot so my fuel costs were usually offset by being in that area.

What do you call cheap? under £500? there are plenty with 36V 10AH Litthium battery.
Nobody makes bikes as heavy like the old Sakura or Powabykes any more.
Prices are going down, quality is going up, so half dead bikes are much rarer than five years ago.
