I'm working on an old Wisper Works705Se and the twist grip has just about finished it's life!! All the twisty bit has fallen apart and the plastic is broken. Are these a generic part? And if so where can i get one from? It has an inline 6 wire connector on the end of about1m of cable and it connects to the speed controller that is situated near the bottom bracket. Hope the pictures help with the identification although the one of the connector is pretty crap 'cos the camera doesn't seem to want to focus that close!
Thanks, Steve in Orpington.

If you don't want to pay for a Wisper replacement, any throttle will work if you cut off the connector and join the wires or fit a new JST 2.5 connector.

It's a standard throttle, which has three wires for the throttle, two for the switch and one for the LEDs. Sometimes, the switch is connected internally to the throttle wires to switch only the throttle on/off. However it's wired, you can wire it how you want, so any throttle will work with or without the switch, and with or without the LEDs.

I can't see the colours or the number of wires in your photo. if you could describe them. I should be able to tell you which is which.

Hi Steve,
I have a Brand new one of these you can have for the price of Postage and Packaging if you like.
Give us a call if this is of interest to you.

It's wired Red, Yellow, Black, Green, Brown and White-can't tell if that's what you have in the picture.

Thanks Martin.
