He doesn't have to do anything ebiker99, just keep cranking his own handle and drawing attention to his business.
It's a good ploy and I should know , been there done that.

Justify to who? You must be smart enough to work it out. You just gave yourself the answer. I only deal with customers in person. Otherwise you are classed as a stooge that is really helpful.
Work out what? I'm asking you to justify your claims, so go on...

Is this how you treat all your potential customers?

Dear All,

Polly just joined the forum 16 minutes ago and has gone straight to Whoosh apologising. Their first action was a thumbs down. For someone new to the forum seems a strange first thing to do. They managed to read the whole thread and pass judgement in 12 minutes to offer a thumbs down.

This whole forum and thread is full of fake stooges, competitors trying to gain an advantage and key board warriors with way too much time on their hands.

I’ve just caught up on this thread. Very amusing.

I can’t believe the attitude of 50 Cycles. They have either had their account hacked or they are on a mission to ensure that they never resurrect their business again. I’ve never experienced such a poor attitude from a company on a public forum. Unbelievable.

I was a 50C customer back in 2008 when I bought a Panasonic powered Pro-Connect, which incidentally is still in regular use. In fairness, bar one incident that I had to resolve directly with Derby Cycles, their service was good. But what’s happening to you now 50C? This forum is small but word spreads much wider you know.

I think that dreadful Impulse motor sunk your business. It was never fit for purpose. It was the VW emissions scandal of the ebike world and yet again, the true villains in the plot, The Krauts, walk away from their moral responsibility. There should have been a FOC, fully sorted and reliable motor replacement, completely funded by the manufacture. It doesn’t excuse your behaviour on here though 50C. Shame on you. You have angry and upset customers.

When 95% of the comments are from non customers and 95% are from non stakeholders and 95% are stooges. Certainly many of the comments are pretty irrelevant to the original posts. If feels as if 50% of the posts are all the same, saying When 95% of the comments .... And very few of the others look as if they are malicious, false or posted by stooges.

If you look at the parts of this thread that are not just pointless acrimony (a small proportion of the thread, mainly from early on) you will see several discontented customers (I admit I'm in no position to prove they are customers). Looking back I don't see any of them finally saying 'ah, excellent, this is now satisfactorily resolved'. Of course, some people don't post back on satisfactory resolution of complaints.

That‘s why I wondered if the account had been hacked. I’ve seen robust rebuttals of customer complaints before, but this takes things to a different level.

I wonder if it’s a disgruntled ex-employee, who has the account log-in credentials, and is deliberately trying, with great success, to damage the 50 Cycles brand?

Just an observation but arguing with customers & potential customers & potential influencers is self-defeating. Spamming the same post & video repeatedly in the same thread is poor forum etiquette & bloody irritating.

It always amuses me when company ABC folds & is relaunched as ABC (2019) or whatever after the assets are bought from the administrator at a knock down price. The 50Cycles brand looks toxic now so I'm surprised a new name hasn't been chosen.

BTW I'm not a customer just an e-bike owner reading this forum but that does not make me a stooge.

I‘d be surprised if all of the complaints are fake. I suspect most, if not all, are genuine.

Don‘t forget, Derby Cycles should take the lion’s share of the blame for this. They have sent a substandard, unfit for purpose, and insufficiently tested product to market. People need to remember that and boycott anything that company produces. Ultimately Derby Cycles have let their dealers and their consumers down very badly. Appalling business conduct.

I’d suggest that people ignore and don’t respond to posts from this account. It’s clear that the 50 Cycles account has been hacked into.

The administration should contact 50 Cycles to verify that these posts are genuine.

Seems to me there is no good reason to buy from 50 Cycles.

I've been 'stooging' around ebikes for about 10 years, buying and selling several in that time.

When I first started looking for an ebike, quality crank drives were thin on the ground - next to no one stocked them.

At that point, 50 Cycles had product few others had.

Fast forward to today and there are several dealers in close proximity to me who have a good range of bikes, including high end.

There is also a large number of online retailers who have a reputation for supplying what they say they will supply.

50 Cycles is now an irrelevance.

I think you're wrong on that one. Those comments are consistent with many others from 50Cycles over the years. After one weird outburst back around 2011, it was suggested that someone might have had a drink problem, though I would have thought something more like like manic depression.

Well if you are correct, you have to question the mental stability of the person posting on behalf of 50 Cycles.
