Because a lot of us cant imagine a bike without a throttle...... I was a convinced throttle jockey for over 2 years until I tried a Swiss flyer X series in September...now this is the Rolls Royce of Panasonic bikes, but I absolutely loved it and went back next day to make sure. On top of this the new high capacity batteries mean range and power can be used to full extent which transforms these bikes IMO.
all a bit academic as the independent throttles are due to go any time soon.
2011 looks good for E bikes to me, except if Chinese revalue their currency upwards, I guess imports will become more expensive
