I can't wait for this "BREXIT" to be over, done and dusted weather for GOOD or for BAD!

MS.
You have my full sympathy, MS. I've never seen such a pointless thread. I respect the point that anything goes in the Charging Post, but I'd prefer that that sort of drivel would be kept out of this forum.

It would be nice to keep your personal preference to yourself ;)

I'll paraphrase for him. This is a forum for discussing electric bicycles, but the largest thread in it is about politics. That doesn't make sense.

Also, it's ridiculous that the guy with the third most posts in our forum has more or less never posted anything about electric bikes. That's confusing for new members, as they use that list to send private messages about the bike problems they have, but he can't reply because he hasn't a clue about them. He's only here as a political activist to try and indoctrinate forum members.

Well I did try with this post, and MS has acknowledged that this thread should have been in the Charging Post.

The fact is that those posting in the Brexit thread never bring it into the e-bike forums, it's those who don't like that thread who often do!

So who are the irrational ones? ;)

And the second largest thread with 101 pages is about Vaping. Link

Strange nobody moans about that?

That's got to be the easiest question on this forum that I've ever had to answer. It's those that post all that drivel in the Brexit thread. What are they trying to achieve. Did they solve anything? Did they change anything? I don't think so!

So?

They aren't hurting anyone in the e-biking forums.

That Brexit thread content is no different from what's always happened in pubs all over this land. Just ordinary normally powerless people finding an outlet to express their views for once.

Ther irrational thing is those who don't like that bringing it into here.

There is at least some common tie between vaping and e-bikes: A life-expired e-bike battery may often still contain a useful amount of working 18650 cells that can be re-purposed for a lifetime of vaping!

Might not be much of a lifetime though!

After 101 pages the Vaping thread ceased in March 2017, so maybe all the vapers have gassed or electrocuted themselves! ;)

It's irrational that the two biggest threads on an electric bike forum are nothing to do with electric bikes and the third most notable member never posts anything about electric bikes.

Specialist web sites often have a forum for discussions outside the main subject of interest, it was no different on the computing site I used to work on. It recognises that people have a life and other interests outside of the specialist subject.

And most importantly it generates the traffic that keeps the internet as a free facility, financed by advertising. No traffic, no advertising and we'll end up having to pay to enter the internet.

I can't see an imbalance, the posts and web pages in the 20 e-biking forums outnumber those in the Charging Post by more than 20 to 1.

I did a post count of those two prominent `contributors` in the Brexit thread a couple of weeks ago - in the last 1000, yes one thousand posts there was only seven non Brexit posts by one and zero by the other.

Maybe i`m being paranoid but you`d have to question their motives.

It`s very clear to see they have no interest in ebikes whatsoever.

The time has come to bring the Brexit thread to an end i propose - how about a poll on that, see what everyone thinks?
