What full suspension frame is suitable for mounting this battery in?

Hi, looking to get tinkering again and want a full suspension frame to swap my bafang gear over to. I've looked on EBay for krackens but to no avail.
I have this battery:- 36V 20Ah LiFePO4 Electric Bicycle Battery Pack - BMSBATTERY

So does any one have any idea which frame will suit?

Assuming you're not rear-mounting, if it's one of the fat brick designs, you're going to struggle to accommodate that battery in a full-sus frame. Many modern mountain bike / hybrid frames struggle to (or can't) take it. Carrera Krakens are hardtails.

LiPo packs are likely much easier to work with. Have you got the battery dimensions ?

I can't help you with the frame but be very wary of using an unsupported seat post rack, my frame cracked at the front top seat tube weld with a 4 kilo battery

Blimey that's worrying, you would of thought the rack would of gone first! I originally had my battery on a seat post rack and that cracked. It's now located in the centre triangle but it's a very snug fit (too snug!)

what about the specialised epic - the slightly older version with the brain shock. its an XC bike really, but i built mine up to all mountain, and it took the hammering - the frame is slight more triangle than most bouncers.

Some of the Rocky Mountains have big frame triangles. You need a large size. There's a few threads on Endless-Sphere on this subject.

GhoulUk, good suggestion with the Epic, I've just got the dimensions from a large frame and sadly it's to small for my battery.
I will look to LiPos at some point but for now I don't really understand them and would like to get some use of my current battery if at all possible.

D8veh, Do you remember any of the Rocky Mountain models that may be suitable? I've jut done a search and there are loads of different types.

There's the Rocky Mountain Element like the one in my profile pictures, and they used that frame for other models at the same time. I have another frame, but I can't remember the name on it. I'm not at home at the moment so can't check. There's none on Ebay at the moment.

Hi,
The dimensions of the battery are 280 L, 140 W, 80 D.

It's longer and thinner than the fat-brick Li-Ion ones (210 L, 155 W, 90 D) but my guess is that the width may still be the critical dimension with this one, especially when you try to support and stabilize it without risking damaging the cells banging against the frame... it's 8cm wider so will likely extend pretty far into the frame towards the headstock. Chances of accommodating a controller of any size in there are pretty slim too !

If you definitely want the bike to work with this battery in that setup I'd definitely get the internal dimensions of the frame triangle before buying anything and ideally take battery (or a polystyrene mock-up) along if you go see a bike / frame before committing to it.

My other one is a RM Carve,. The frame looks the same as the element. There's room in the triangle for your battery. When I was looking for a frame, I found one that the guy said was medium, but it wasn't big enough for the battery. The two that I have are much bigger, and I think they're large.

I have also found this bike which looks good and the owner said they have checked the dimensions and the battery should fit. Any thoughts?
