What does % Support mean?

I have a Giant Full E and the literature says it gives up to 300% support. Can anyone tell me what this means? Does it mean that if I am putting in 100W it is giving me another 200W to make 300W in total?

in max assist mode it will be 300% from motor and what ever you can put in on top.

thus why if you have a dongle you will spin out as ran out of gears at max rpm

so if I have a 250W motor is it going to give me 750W?
That is correct. About 720 W peak of it has a 20 Amp controller.

that means if you put in 100W, the motor 300% of your input, 300W, the bike gets 400W.
100W is good pedaling. The motor is capable up to 600W, this is roughly indicative of a 20A controller.
It also means that if you are very atlhetic, the bike will not offer more if you exceed 200W of your own input.

so if I have a 250W motor is it going to give me 750W?
Not necessarily, the maximum the motor and controller can give is the limiting factor.

It will give 300% up to the motor's limit, but not beyond.

How does it know how much support to give?
the torque sensor measures how much force you put into pedaling. The formula is: Power = force * radius * 2 * pi * sin(angle) * (cadence/60) * support ratio
