I've got my trike finished, and working, I have one problem, it keeps blowing fuses
Maplin only had ten amp, the motor is 240 watt, which is just ampage of the fuse
should I use a larger one to overcome this problem? and what wattage is recomened,?

Definitely a 20 amp fuse Bob, since these motors often drain up to 16 amps continuous. You will find various 20 amp fuses in motor accessory shops and Halfords.

Yes, could be necessary with a very few motors, but I thought it best to be safe with 20 amp to start as we're only dealing with pennies and that does for the great majority.

Of course, and with some Powabyke motors peaking at 700 watts a bit marginal. The F series are rather close too.

Fuse type also matters, slow blow, quick blow or pulse resist.
