I know that the forum has many members that are getting on in years, but I wonder who is the Youngest?
Any teenage e-bikers out there?

BTW, this is not an ageist thread;)

We once had a 22 year old join, but he joined around 4 years back so no longer the youngest.

E-biking is still predominantly the province of the older and I was interested and a bit surprised to read recently from a Dutch source that even the huge Dutch market for e-bikes is dominated by the over 60s.

Our age polls in this forum have always consistently shown 80% of the members in the second half of life, over 40.

Which is why I am amazed that so many of the manufacturers offerings in the EU are for sports and Mountain style bikes.
I suspect that going by Endless Sphere, the situation re age is different in the US.

Stuart Hall took an unhealthy interest in me shortly before being jailed and the ghost of Jimmy Saville visits me in my sleep every night. Does this make me the youngest member?

I'm sure that's true in the USA where most e-bikes have the status of leisure toy rather than working transport. But there is also the element of older men reliving youth, for which we see plenty of evidence in this forum.

However the huge Dutch market is dominated by practical upright utility e-bikes, mainly from major Dutch manufacturers but some from Giant and German makers like Kalkhoff.
