Maybe he'll be thrown in the slammer, when he asks for his bike back? It's impressive that he had enough wits after that accident, to fetch the battery before the cops arrived.

when his ass hit the floor he was not going anywhere batt flew off so m8 grabbed it and put it in his back pack.

imo if he goes and gets it back he will have to pay a storage fee as not been charged but the bike was junk anyway and only the batt was worth saving as hub and controller was 2nd hand and had 1000s of miles on it.

The Council should install automatically extending ramps, for cyclists approching those barriers, so that they can speed up and jump over the road. Much safer.
