Well I for one like it, OK, like anything new it will take a little time to get used to. I reckon in a couple of weeks most people will have forgotten what the old one looked like, I have already:)

And one of the replies taught me about CTRL+ and CTRL- which I never knew about before!

Seems fine, a bit different but I'm sure we will all get familiar with it. I rather like the colourful background. Thumbs up for me.

I wonder how many people are still out there clicking on their old link like I was and waiting patiently for the new forum to go live, which it never did. So I eventually Googled the forum and found it

I find the new form at OK, except for the annoying background picture that I get around the sides. Better if it was just blank

And why is the text so narrow, it only uses half of the screen
To allow space for the adverts, the column of which can grow further down over time. It's the cost of a "free" world wide web. On my computer monitor the ads only occupy a quarter of the screen.

Still prefer the old old but its starting to grow on me .

If you run firefox with adban add-on NO adverts

regards emma
But still leaves the space which the ads occupied before, so not widening the text area.

Good idea Phil, let us know when you have done it, only 7,417;)
Everyone's a smart@rse:p Welcome to the club, John;)
The forum software presumably generates a database of member's details. I would expect it to be possible for Russ or Helen to formulate an email listing the changes and actions required to get back on here. I know they have their hands full at the moment, but perhaps a communication like I've suggested would keep members informed, and expectant of changes. Just an idea.:)

Seems like there are few glitches still to be ironed out.

A couple of regulars have now contacted me saying they are having difficulties posting?

Also the the number of people viewing seems to have dropped by approximately 50%

A help section might be useful for people that are unable to post what their issues are.
They could email another member and ask them to post the problem in the hope that a solution can be suggested by the membership rather than waiting for admin to pick it up?

I'm guessing Admin are quite busy at the moment so it might take a bit of the load off them.

Hi Zebb,

Are you able to post with tablet or are you using another device and what are the problems?

This just a test to see if I can post with an Android device.

Obviously I can, will try with an iPad next.
