This weekend we will be found in Worcester and Colwyn bay, supporting OVO Energy the sponsors of the Women's Tour of Britain.

If you fancy a test ride we will be at the finish of each day.

OVO Energy have commissioned a small Fleet of 10 Wisper 705 and 905 se and Torque bikes for test rides. We will be bringing more.

Full details here http://www.womenstour.co.uk

If you cant make it we will be on the Tour of Britain later in the year.

All the best, David

A great day was had by many, it's surprising how many people still don't know what an ebike is.

Watch out for us on the Tour of Britain from the 2nd to the 9th September 2018. We will be at five of the seven stages. Finishing in London on the 9th September when we will have an OVO Energy Wisper test track on the embankment Westminster.

Well done David for having none of the petty offputting rules that many event organisers insist on. Letting people ride in ordinary street clothes with no helmets or hi-viz is the right way to go if it's to convince that cycling is just a good alternative to walking and driving for local journeys.

Thanks Tony. We had helmets available and everyone was offered one, about 25% of riders took up our offer. Both OVO and The Tour operators were comfortable, it was a real pleasure to see people so relaxed.

The French have it right I think,.. They insist on children under 12 wearing a helmet, but no requirement beyond that. This is sensible as the skull is still soft in children.
It is relatively easy to recognise the British? Leisure cyclists in the coastal towns of Brittany... Matching bikes and outfits, including helmets, and usually carrying an excess few kilogrammes..

Good stuff, David.

Roadies, particularly racing roadies, are one of the last bastions of resistance to ebikes.

The Women's Tour is relaxed and relatively sensible, but some of those attending the Tour of Britain will be very hostile to ebikes and won't like seeing them anywhere near the event.

I'm guessing you may hear the odd snotty remark as spectators pass your stand.

Hi Rob, at the Women's Tour we were welcomed, even the competitors loved our bikes!

At the Men's Tour we will have the Wisper Wolverine on show, I am sure this will cause some indignation amongst competitors! However even road racers, become older and less mobile, I am sure many of them will at least consider an ebike rather than giving up their weekend club rides with mates.
