There is an online company called Discount Bikes Deals https://discountbikesdeals.co.uk/electric-bikes/240-wisper-905-torque-electric-bike.html that offers bona fide ebike brands at huge discounts.

THEY DO NOT EXIST

There have been two or three incidents where people have bought their bikes through this and similar sites. They call to find out when their bikes will arrive, but of course they never will.

There are some very good on line retailers such as e-bikes direct and Woosh, they do a great job, so please don't be put off all on line bike retailers. I suggest that you call any company advertising very cheap ebikes and speak them diectly, satisfy yourself that you are not being conned before you purchase.

"If it looks to good to be true... it probably is."

We have reported to the Police and Google, and no doubt the site will be closed. However, it will certainly open up again under a different name.

Regards, David

Thanks for the heads up

I never deal with an online retailer who does not have a contact telephone number which I call to to make some one answers, I also always pay with my barcley card so that I am covered if anything goes wrong

Already mentioned on here before, see my post of 7 September:-

No proper full address that I can find on their site.
No phone number listed on their site.
Domain is registered to a company that doesn't exist.
The image of their warehouse is the same as one for an air conditioning company in the US.
The image with multiple bikes comes from a Houston, USA charity.
They ask for your date of birth to sign up.
You have to pay them by bank transfer.
Checked half a dozen or so bikes & all said "Delivery expected from 15 Sep".
Everything discounted, possibly to less than a dealer pays.

What could possibly go wrong?

I just want to reinforce this is why it's vital to never pay by bank transfer. Credit card gives the highest - a frankly enormous - level of protection whenever paying for anything costing more than £100. Paypal has improved too.

This is a fraudulent website and the registration address does not belong to the scammer who registered the domain. Nominet have been notified of fraud.

I suggest to check that a company is registered with the Companies House if in doubt. "discount bikes deals ltd" doesn't exist.
