It's alright, no need to panic. Mine isn't a real campervan, It's a Ford Transit with a fridge, cooker, cupboards and chairs in the back. It has room for about three bikes in the back, which is handy. More if I don't want to camp in it.

Thanks to everyone for all your advice. Having now tested many different models, and accepting that although I really wanted to like the gorgeous Smart EBike, it just wasn't suitable for my needs, my shortlist was the Kalkhoff Agutta 11 speed (the 8 speed seemed to be geared too low for me) and the KTM Macina 8 speed, fully loaded including full suspension. After having a KTM on loan from the Electric Transport shop, for a weekend of rain and snow, my mind was made up - incredible feeling of quality, smooth capping out of power at around 15.5mph, and the handling feels so similar to my previous unpowered hybrid MTB/Road bike. The Kalkhoff was also fantastic quality-wise but just didn't have the right feel for me personally - I'm a bit of a keen cyclist and intend to be pedal pushing beyond 15.5mph, and the Kalkhoff was too relaxed for me, though many people might prefer it! A big thank you to Tim at 50 Cycles and to Claude at ETS for knowledgable advice and great customer service. And thanks to all you forum members who took time to give advice.

Almost "snap"... Your description of KTM ride makes me feel even more convinced that the KTM Macina I have ordered is a good choice :)
